Hi, a question about paying for comics. Here you only have the choice credit card, no Paypal. Why is that actually so and could that be changed? I feel somehow safer with Paypal, especially since my credit card details have already been stolen once. I have become more cautious, even if the data is advertised as safe.

Hi Firefly79, I haven't bought anything for a longer time (I also pay via PayPal) - but there was some kind of changeover that also involved PayPal (somehow). Have a look at this thread. Mh, when I want to buy a comic, the buying process will be forwarded to Renderotique and there I can only choose credit card. When I buy something from the Rendrotica store, then it comes to CGBytes and there I have Paypal an an option.
Not sure if I miss something.

Hmmm ... a mental exercise in the evening ;-)
Maybe it's because graphic novels haven't been sold there for that long? I don't know if that's the case - but recently there was a hint to that ...
Maybe your best bet is to write a message to management - or PM RangerRabbit or Teronsuke. They're all really nice people at renderotica.

My guess is it is due to the nature of the comics sold here. Likely as far as PayPal is concerned, Renderotique got flagged as a company they won't do business with and while Renderotica can get by this by switching the cart to CGbytes, and sanitizing product names, there isn't an option like that for Renderotique. And while some of the Credit Card processors can act as a buffer, once on the lists even using a buffer is usually not enough, sadly once companies are on PayPal's no business list it is impossible for them to be removed, whether the reason they are on the list is due to Adult content or not. (Banks also maintain similar lists for example my local bank has Steam on a banned business list, and any charges from Steam are automatically declined) Edited by user Monday, May 1, 2023 6:08:04 PM(UTC)

Why not purchase one of those gift certificates and redeem it for store credit? Then you can use it on anything. I've bought one with PayPal.
