Fair enough, I guess we're close enough I can start to spill the beans.


USM is a new shell based wetness system. It's similar to a few products you may be familliar with, but WAY more thatn those ever offered.


At this time we have 3 wetness types, Water (Soaking Wet Pack is included in the CORE product) Sweat Add-On and Baby Oil Add-On.


The CORE includes the special USM shell which is instantly compatible with Breastacular, Golden Palace and Lickalicious. It also has an extensive toolkit with opacity adjustments, abbe on/off, drop sharpness, etc. (it's a lot of tools ;) ) (also includes a tool to use the Cayman UV for DAZ Female Gens)


Each moisture pack (Soaking Wet, Sweat and Baby Oil) has multiple styles that are distinctly different from each other in drop size, density, runners etc. Soaking Wet for example, has 8 different material preset styles bult from over 60 different maps! These 8 styles can be further customized with the toolkit to suit your lighting and scene!


At release, USM will "officially" support G8Female, with G8Male kits in development. We wanted to make this male/female universal but due to the differences in the UV maps it just didn't look right and left a lot of ugly seams on the Males. For those wanting this on G3, it's in the plan as a free upgrade, we just have to finish testing the shell compatibility. Intermediate and advanced studio users who are comfortable with the Surfaces tab should have no difficulty copying the G8 shell mats to a G3 Shell as a temoprary measure until we have an official G3 shell.


Also because it's shell based, you don't have to worry about "fitting". It will work on every mesh morph, every time.(Figures with extreme displacement like some moonsters and robots may require some manual copying of those maps to the shell, but we found those cases to be very rare.)

Looks great! With Golden Palace and Breastacular support included this will be an instabuy for me. I assume the G8M version will support Dicktator and hopefully the default Anatomical Elements?

As soon as the G8F launch settles down, Meipe and I are working together on a co-authored G8M version.


We also plan support for Futalicious and it's add-on grafts as well as Cluster bomb :)

We had hoped to have it in store this weekend but we hit a snag (our fault) in testing, so hopefully early/middle this coming week :)


Sweat will be released a few days later, along with a special stand-alone kit for Extreme Orgasm Body Blush :D

I'm not 100% sure on the details, but I think Meipe wants to do it as a scripted solution, so most likely there will be a script that will come with the Male Product to make Dicktator work, and then a separate "compatibility kit" for Meipe's Female Grafts like Futalicious/Roasty/Full Monty/Cluster Bomb with scripting for those. We'll make it worthwhile to get the fem graft compatibility kit by adding other goodies ;)

I've had a couple of messages already about NGV8 support, I have not tested this with NGV8 as it was designed for Golden Palace and has a tool for Daz G8Fem Gen support.


Any graft vendor who would like their grafts added to the supported list should contact me via email and I'll do my best to get their products supported with their help, but there's a lot more in development for this series right now so I can't do it alone :)

I picked this up pretty much by reflex


i will ask one question, though:


There are some of us out there who really like to 'expand' certain elements of the female figure (butts, boobs ).


With normal skin textures (and zero ability in photoshop) there tends to be 'stretching' of the textures.


Is this also an issue with your product?  Can you pick certain body areal and increase the 'tiling' effect to reduce this 'stretching' (something I've always wanted for normal skin textures, and yes, particularly for the boobs).

ChupaCabra555: The Soaking Wet and Sweat packs are designed with "Breastacular Enhanced" versions for larger breasts, they add density around the breast area to allow for D (possibly E) cup breasts with little to no distortion. These Enhanced versions can be used with or without Breastacular applied to the body.


For extreme butts and breasts the size of bean bag chairs... yes you many see some drop distortion, nothing can fix that :)


Let's put it this way, if you stretch USM enough to distort the droplets, you've probably already distorted the figures own skin ;)


 


Mortze: Yes, Meipe and I plan to co-author a male version with Dicktator and DAZ G8Male Gen support. :)


I"m working on G3 support but it will most likely come after the G8 Male support is done.

For those who want to use this on G3 Female NOW, the USM shell will apply to G3 Female, however the materials will not recognize the shell because it's on G3 and not G8. This will be addressed in a future free update. :)


 


TO BE CLEAR, G3 Female is not "OFFICIALLY" supported in this initial release. The products is marked and sold to you for use on Genesis 8 Female.


 


The workaround is pretty simple, but will require you to access the Surfaces Tab:


  1. Pull up a basic G8 female (free from DAZ) and apply the USM shell.
  2. Apply the material set you want to use to the shell. (water, baby oil etc.)
  3. Now apply another USM shell to your G3 Female
  4. Select the shell on the G8 Female
  5. In the surfaces tab, select all the surfaces and Right Click/Copy
  6. Select the shell on the G3 Female
  7. In the surfaces tab, select all the surfaces and Right Click/Paste
  8. You will need to go to the Eyelashes material and set opacity to 0 to remove the white overlay.

 


All the toolkit tools appear to work fine. G3 uses the same UV as G8 so there "shouldn't" be any seams, but again this isn't officially supported (yet).


I have no idea how well this works with G3F Golden Palace as I haven't had time to thoroughly test it, but I assume it will work since the GP area on USM basically uses the torso maps on default UV.


If you have other tips, tricks and suggestions, please post them here :D

I'm really interested, but your renders are showing something not as realistic as I would like.
More oily than sweaty : the distribution is too even between places where real people are sweating a lot or a little.
Maybe I'm wrong : I'll have to pay to see !
