Q) what brought you into 3D?
I was searching for a certain type of porn, forced fantasy with monsters - which eventually lead me to the Renderotica galleries, and then to Poser (I think a lot of others probably have the same story). Then I created my first pose product "Merciless Love" which was pretty popular, I couldn't believe it. The rest is history!
Q) How did you choose your nickname?
I wish I had an interesting story for my nickname. I love the movie Mad Max, and Max spelled backward is Xam. I really liked the movie Wall E which was released around the time I started (one of the character's names is Eve, but Wall E calls her Eva). Xameva.
Q) How long have you been creating your artwork?
Since about 2008/2009. I started at Renderotica creating images with Poser just as a hobby.
Q) what are the specs of your render machine?
I'm currently living abroad in Thailand (originally from Canada), so I'm using a laptop. A pretty powerful one but it's time for an upgrade soon. Main stats are [CPU: i7-2670QM 2.2GHz] [GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570M]. Honestly this is my main bottleneck now in creating new products, and I'll hopefully be getting a powerful workstation soon. The video card is very important, an NVIDIA card for Iray with a lot of RAM.
Q)Poser or Daz Studio and why?
Up until recently I've been strictly a Poser user in terms of creating my pictures. I'd use DAZ to create my poses (I much prefer the interface), but I hated the 3Delight render engine. This all changed with Iray, which I love. It takes a lot longer to render, but even beginners can get a decent result in Iray immediately. Everything in DAZ just seems to work. No library issues, clothing auto-fit is so nice, and having all of the morphs already loaded on one figure without needing a million injects is very convenient. I still use both Poser and DAZ Studio, but I feel more comfortable in DAZ.
Q) tell us about your “perfect fix” series.
Meipe and I started with a simple booty fix for V4 that would then go on to be extremely popular. We saw the potential in a full body system, and through a lot of hard work and head aches, eventually completed the whole series. Meipe is a genius and most of the credit goes to him.
Q) Tell us about your “Make her scream” series.
This is my favorite series. I've always had a forced fantasy fetish. Choking, hands over the mouth, restrained hands... all of it! Some might be disgusted by forced sex scenes in movies, but I've always found them a turn on. Of course just as a fantasy only!
Q) Which is more of a “pain” to create, static poses, Animated poses or Morphs, and why?
Animation is the most difficult to create. I try to make my static poses perfect... and with 2+ characters, this can sometimes take 1-2 hours for a single pose. An animation is basically 10-30+ times the work of a single static pose... and that's for a short animation. You add in the expressions, the ass/breast morphs, and it takes a long time!
Q) so far you’ve shown “love” to both Daz and poser users, can we expect that to continue into the future?
Yes I always have both Poser and DAZ users in mind. Unfortunately with Genesis 3, that really complicates things considering G3 can't be used in Poser. So for some products, I can offer both a Poser and DAZ version, but sometimes it's not possible. I'll try my best to keep providing products for V4, V6 and V7!
Q) What are your plans for the future?
I have big plans coming up. In addition to new pose and morph sets I'm going to seriously learn 3D modeling/texturing and offer new types of products. I can't go into too many details, but I basically have a long list of "products to do" and I feel each of them will be unique and amazing.
Q) Out of all the various art mediums why 3D?
Poser and DAZ allow us to easily bring any idea to life, and to share it with others. I don't think I would've gotten into 3D if I had to create everything from scratch. I love to read/write too, but I much prefer showcasing my ideas with visuals (and I'm terrible at drawing).
Q) who are your favorite artists other than yourself?
Fabiana, Pixeluna, Meipe, Lilflame, Sveva, all the comic artists at Renderotica, and the list goes on. I admire anyone who puts a lot of effort into their images and improves with each new submission.
Q) If someone reading this wants to start creating their own artwork what words of advice would you give them?
Start with something simple. Get the basics down. Don't try to learn everything at once. Get a nice light set, it makes a big difference (I'm still inexperienced with lighting and I use light sets that others have created). Then just start creating, bring your fantasies to life! I look at my first images that I created and I cringe. We all start somewhere. Don't forget to share your creations in the galleries!
Q) Do you have a job outside of 3D or do you consider this your full time occupation?
This is my full time job, but at times I lose focus and procrastinate, which is why you may notice I don't have a constant release schedule. I'll almost be finished a product then an idea will pop in my head that needs to be done immediately, leaving me with a lot of products I need to finish. I've improved this recently, so you should see more consistent releases. :)
Q) Speech time! any final words you have for your, fans and fellow 3D community?
Thank you very much for your everything over the years. I didn't think in a billion years that I'd have almost 50 products and such strong support. It is very humbling. I started this as a hobby and it is still very fun for me to share my creations and know others find them useful. I'll continue to do my best to create top quality content and surprise you with some new things coming soon!
