We sat down with danni for a special interview...
Renderotica: Could you give us a little background information about yourself?
danni: I like to try all kinds of stuff you can do with a PC. A couple of years ago I found out about rendering and modeling of 3d stuff and got into it. I also write short stories from time to time.
Renderotica: How did you get started in 3D Art and what influences did you have that led you to the style of art that you do?
danni: When I first started learning how to use Blender, I watched some tutorials on YouTube. Right away I found DAZ3D videos on my recommended list, so I decided to give it a try. Soon, this led me to Marvelous Designer and all the many programs there are.
I'm not sure I have a distinct style, but I typically strive for a render that looks as realistic as I can make it, and playing with light sources and stuff is my jam.

Renderotica: I notice that most of your works are very intimate images. Is this something you do on purpose?
danni: Most of the time I try to think of a story around the render I'm working on and it develops with that. I do all sorts of Images, but I'm quite selective on what to post where.

Renderotica: Could you describe the process you go through to set up and render an image?
danni: It depends. Sometimes I have an actual photo I try to replicate. Those are the most time-consuming ones, because of camera positioning, posing and so on takes very long and sometimes even won't turn out any good in the end.
Or I just have an idea for something and try different things.
Either way, it takes around three or four renders and tweaks in DAZ before I go over to Photoshop to polish.

Renderotica: What advice would you give to those just starting out in the 3D art field?
danni: Watch tutorials, start small, and only buy stuff when you need it.

Renderotica: Do you have any long term goals in relationship to your art?
danni: Not really, I'm just having fun with it.
Renderotica: Are there any projects, now or in the future, that you would like us to be aware of.
danni: I have started some comic strips, but rendering many many pictures in the same quality range is quite a challenge and very time-consuming. Maybe I'll finish one at some point in the future.
