1) what brought you into 3D?
Games, I love games, I made MOD for half-life1 in my high school days, this is the beginning of my contact with 3D design and programming, set the tone for my life.
2) How did you choose your nickname?
It was originally called onilink, from the Legend of Zelda, but I hope it easier when fast typing, hlink also represents "hyperlink".
3) How long have you been creating your artwork?
I made half-life's MOD in my high school days, then I made indie games in my college days, because I couldn't find anyone to collaborate, so I'm made games all by myself,
From concept, art, 3D models, programs, and even sounds, It made me have a lot of work experience in 3D.
4) Where do you draw your inspirations from?
From the game / anime / manga (referred to as ACG), so don't call me an artist, I am a super nerd!
5) Your chars remind me of a cross between Final Fantasy and traditional anime, tell us why you chose this style over a more “realistic” look.
There are two reasons, one is Japanese gamers's preferences. I plan to put my chars in the game from the beginning. Japanese game chars are very fantasy that they can't accept a too realistic char.
I want my indie game can be accepted in Japan, so I need a compromise concept art, such as Final Fantasy, Ninja Gaiden, DOA. . .I also hope that most gamers outside Japan are able to accept that, too.
The second reason is the limit of my production environment.
6) what are the specs of your render machine?
Microsoft Surface Pro1, Japan Special Edition (256GB), Intel Core i5, Intel HD 4000.
It is very convenient when writting programs, but the rendering is very slow, especially after causing high temperature.
7) Poser or Daz Studio and why?
Daz, I bought Poser Pro 2014 for game developers last, but after one week I request for a refund. Maybe it's because at that point in time Poser for game dev. is not perfect, or maybe it's because everyone has some unique requirements ,
8) What renderer do you use? (Stock Poser or Daz or 3rd party) And what lead you to use it?
Daz, I have tried to use Reality once, but it caused my computer a great burden. At last what I need is put my chars into the game, in my gallery I already have some videos are actual recording from unity game engine runtime rendering.
I know the effect of 3Delight is a bit shabby, but I'd better use this to adjust the visual experience, and then try to put them in the game.
9) what is your favorite work you’ve created?
I just find that I didn't upload this one, I use this as my iphone wallpaper all the time

10) Is there any image you’ve made that you wish you didn’t? why?
A image of a naked man riding an elephant on lava, holding a rocket hammer on his hand, and in front of him is a screaming cat and a runaway child. I'm not kidding, I did this in January for no reason, It still exists in my computer, I hope one day I can solve this mystery.
11) Any chance we might see a comic version of your chars in the future?
Comic? no, you will see my chars in the game! it will be a Action RPG, with an dodge / defense fighting system, beautifully PBL shader, cool magic effects, and a lot of challenges. heroine has more than 60 movement animations with runtime physical effects! I sleep less than five hours a day to make sure it will be awesome.
12) Out of all the various art mediums why 3D?
To me it is for the game, and the game is also a art medium.
13) What are your plans for the future?
Maintain body temperature of not less than 28 degrees until this game is completed...
14) who are your favorite artists other than yourself?
I always focus on the work they did rather than themself, so even though I have a lot of favorite works, I still can't tell the artist's name...
15) If someone reading this wants to start creating their own artwork what words of advice would you give them?
Use your right hand to keep things simple, then use your left hand to make things complicated, they will fight every day. The more you hurt, the faster your progress.
16) Do you have a job outside of 3D or do you consider this your full time occupation?
I'm a game programmer(C#, XNA, Unity), case job, worked at two small mobile-games companies before, and I wish I can starting making my own works now.
17) Speech time! any final words you have for your, fans and fellow 3D community?
I think the ability to create fantasy is the best gift to humanity, always ask for more, this is my motivation.
