1) what brought you into 3D?
I have always wanted to produce art, but I cannot draw, paint or take decent photos; I'm just very bad at it! I found a 3D posing program a few years ago, I don't even remember the name of it now. But I got frustrated with how it worked and gave it up. But when I found Daz 3D I was elated and went to work with it immediately.
2) How did you choose your nickname?
I have been using the name Nafian for quite some time, it's actually a romantic language spoken in Nafia and I chose it because I'm such a romantic at heart.
3) How long have you been creating your artwork?
Only for about eight months with Daz 3D
4) Where do you draw your inspirations from?
From just about everywhere from movies to photos on the internet to life in general. Sometimes I'll see something and think what a good pose and render that would make.
5) what are the specs of your render machine?
I use a Lenovo desk top all in one 64 bit/windows 8.1. It's not that good for renders and I need to replace it soon.
6) Poser or Daz Studio and why?
I have never used Poser because I found Daz Studio first I suppose.
7) What renderer do you use? (Stock Poser or Daz or 3rd party) And what lead you to use it?
I've been using 3Delight with Daz and they now have the new Invidia Iray, which is pretty nice, but my computer can hardly handle it and is why I need to replace it.
8) what is your favorite work you’ve created?
This one, "Under His Spell" because I'm sort of a vampire fan and I put a lot of my fantasy self into this piece.

9) Is there any image you’ve made that you wish you didn’t? why?
Not so much an individual image itself, but the way I created them and there have been a few. Once I looked back at them, I saw so much more I could have done with them.
10) With so many people creating female contest, do you find it harder or easier to create male themed content?
I really can't answer that, because I have done only one piece that had a female in it. I create strictly male artistic nude and erotic content for several reasons, with the number one reason is because I'm gay.
11) What do you feel is missing for artists who create male centered content?
For many, I think it's the love and passion that can happen between two men; the hand on the shoulder, the arm around the waist or the passing glance at one another. I have nothing against plain sex and have created it myself. But sometimes as the gay community fighting for marriage and equality and with so many misguided people out there thinking we're just sexual deviants, I think we need to say something.
12) Out of all the various art mediums why 3D?
Because it's so cool, realistic and the closest thing to actual photography and easier to manipulate when you see it in your minds eye, not too mention a lot cheaper than hiring a model and paying them for hours of trying to get the shot just right!
13) What are your plans for the future?
I'm currently working on a website and filling it with my art that I'm going to offer for sale. Many of the pieces I haven't published anywhere as of yet, and I hope it's successful.
14) who are your favorite artists other than yourself?
Butchsl and AlanDavis on Renderotica, I love their work and the detail they put in it.
15) If someone reading this wants to start creating their own artwork what words of advice would you give them?
I would tell them to just go for it, make a few artist friends and always keep on the lookout for hints and tips. But when creating, don't push it, just let it flow and always put a little piece of your heart into it and it will show to those who know how to see it.
16) Do you have a job outside of 3D or do you consider this your full time occupation?
I'm retired, shall we say. So I have lots of time on my hands to create.
17) Speech time! any final words you have for your, fans and fellow 3D community?
Just a thank you, for allowing me to be a part of this community, to make my own mistakes, for giving me hints and constructive criticism when I needed it, but also for the praise and encouragement when I needed it.
