We sat down with Noiron700 for a special interview...
Renderotica: Could you give us a little background information about yourself?
Noiron700: I live in Eastern Europe, and after a few years as a 2D graphic designer, I managed to work in the CGI film industry, working on the end of the pipeline.
Renderotica: How did you get started in 3D Art and what influences did you have that led you to the style of art that you do?
Noiron700: I have always been interested in photography, then I started using 3D Max for fun, learning mostly from YouTube, then came Maya and some other programs. I enjoy trying other things too, like Marvelous, Zbrush or Daz. Daz is best for my „personal projects” because I do not have to spend a lot of time on modeling, shading, rigging and other parts, I can just do what I love to do: create an image like a photographer, but with less restrictions. I would describe my style as photographic, clear and well lit.

Renderotica: How would you best describe your composition style and how do you go about deciding what you will create?
Noiron700: The best version is when I have a firm idea that I want to implement. I don’t like to copy ideas, so I usually don’t follow references while working in Daz. Sometimes I should... … but I like to play around with it. Sometimes I do not have an idea, I just experiment, but there's a point where it takes shape and I can finish it. If it does not get to that point, maybe I can use it for another project later.

Renderotica: Could you describe the process you go through to set up and render an image?
Noiron700: First I usually make the main characters, clothes, poses, etc. Then I set up my camera, do the composition and adjust the lighting of the figures, finally I work on the background. I do not recommend this for everyone, maybe it's better to do everything together with the characters and the background and then finish the picture, but I like it that way separately.

Renderotica: What advice would you give to those just starting out in the 3D art field?
Noiron700: Experiment with as many programs as you can, look at art and photography and learn, and just have fun! Do not take it too seriously!

Renderotica: Do you have any long term goals in relationship to your art?
Noiron700: Not yet.
Renderotica: Are there any projects, now or in the future, that you would like us to be aware of?
Noiron700: Lately I’ve been working on comics, I had 2 or 3 in the works, but after many renderings I realise it's more fun to start a new idea. So it's hard to finish them. It would also be cool to do short animations, but I would need a better GPU for that.
