1) How long have you been creating your artwork?
I think I started some 14 or 15 years ago. I've been premier artist since 2005.
2) Where do you draw your inspirations from?
I always loved the old Hammer Horror Dracula stuff. The innocent damsels in nice dresses, the mysterious sophisticated Dracula, the romantic Victorian scenery, etc. Hmmmmmm! But every time I saw Christopher Lee put the bite on sweet Veronica Carlson (my favorite) or one of the other 'Hammer Glamour' girls, I thought: "Why stop there? You've got this lovely virgin with puppy dog eyes at your grasp! Why not take full advantage of the situation?" As I tried different way's to visualize this fantasy, I came across 3D software. And the rest is history...
3) what are the specs of your render machine?
Nothing fancy, A 4 year old quad-core.
4) what is your favorite work you’ve created?
That's a difficult one! I looked through all of them and I guess this one must be among my favorites: There is a lot going on in this one: danger, competition, defeat and victory, mystery, power, surrender, suspense, innocence, anticipation..... and a voluptuous nude virgin blonde of course ;-)

5) Out of all the various art mediums why 3D?
I made drawings and tried photo manipulation at first, but when I came across 3D software I realized this offered much more possibilities.
6) What are your plans for the future?
Making much more 3D stuff and refine my technique, to make even better pictures!!!
7) who are your favorite artists other than yourself?
On renderotica I don't have a clear cut favorite artist. There's a lot good art on renderotica by different artists! A non Renderotica favorite of mine is Frans Mensink.
8) If someone reading this wants to start creating their own artwork what words of advice would you give them?
Just do it!!! It's fun. Be patient to learn the possibilities. And experiment with lighting and shadows. Good lighting adds to the reality of your images.
9) When developing your pose & animation sets, what's been your most influential source for ideas?
Guess what? Hammer Horror! And sometimes I look at cheesy romance book covers to get ideas.
10) Any hints on what your next project is going to include?
Fangs...
11) Do you have a job outside of 3D or do you consider this your full time occupation?
I make 3D art mostly for the fun of it. I have a full time job.
12) With all the recent advancements in 3D technology what excites you the most?
One of the greatest new developments in 3D technology in the last years was the draping of cloth. I look forward to developments that make flesh and other materials act more real and interact with each other. The possibility to make materials act more and more like in the real world is great and makes it possible to make even more beautiful art!
