1) what brought you into 3D Art?
I became interested in 3D software when I purchased my first copy of Cararra at the 2000 Mac show in NYC.
2) How did you choose your nickname?
Alexander is my official first name by birth and I combined Alex with Marshal which is my favorite Guitar Amplifier.
3) How long have you been creating your artwork?
Creating art has been a life long endeavor. So I’d say around 1964 and began createing art professionally around 1985.
4) Where do you draw your inspirations from?
I’m inspired by mostly what I see around me daily. Some conceptual images I feel are somehow “channeled” to my brain by some unexplainable outside entity (I seriously mean that, LOL)
5) what are the specs of your render machine?
Mac Pro, Dual 2.4 processor, 32 G Ram. Software: Poser Pro 2012, Cararra 8 Pro, Daz Studio Pro 4.6
6) what is your favorite work that you’ve created?
Don’t believe I have a favorite, but if I had to pick one for some reason or another:

7) Out of all the various art mediums why 3D?
Being a professional graphic artist It was quicker to build an object as I became more advanced with the software which allowed me to explore more design and composition possibilities in a shorter time frame.
8) What are your plans for the future?
I would like to sell my original creations and be a commissioned artist.
9) who are your favorite artists other than yourself?
Salvador Dali, HR Giger, MC Escher were the most inspiring in my life.
10) If someone reading this wants to start creating their own artwork what words of advice would you give them?
Start out with a pencil and sketch pad to develop concepts. Research and study other artists work, thus your own style will develop naturally through inspiration.
11) When developing your artwork, what's been your most influential source for ideas?
Watching movies and videos seem to help me create visuals, but mostly from social encounters and emotional situations relayed to me from people I know or meet.
12) Any hints on what your next project is going to include?
The passing of time.
13) Do you have a job outside of 3D or do you consider this your full time occupation?
I’m a self employed graphic designer/illustrator.
14) With all the recent advancements in 3D technology what excites you the most? What do you dread the most?
I would love to challenge myself with a short animation depicting my life. The advancing technology gives me the confidence and ability to translate my mental visuals enabling me to share with others. What I dread is the fact that it feels more challenging than ever to conceptually “impress” in a tech world where anything appears to be reality. ie: A crisp video of an actual UFO.
