We sat down with Flaunts3D for a special interview...
Renderotica: Could you give us a little background information about yourself?
Flaunts3D: I am a 23 year old college girl who enjoys boring things like books and puzzles. Being a Finance major, I really don't get much opportunity to be creative, so I had to find an outlet to harness that creativity. See, I am kinda nerdy and boring, haha. I'm a Midwest girl that lives most of the year in the South (due to college), so I travel a bit which I enjoy.
I've got a bit of a naughty side, which you can certainly see in my art, so it's been nice to let that out once in a while :) Thank you Renderotica and the Renderotica community for giving me a platform to share my fantasies! Everyone here has been great!
Renderotica: How did you get started in 3D Art and what influences did you have that led you to the style of art that you do?
Flaunts3D: I got started in 3D Art with DAZ Studio in the middle of Covid. Being that things were hard to find at the time, it seemed logical to find a hobby that didn't require physical supplies. I tried gaming a bit, but became frustrated quickly. A friend of mine mentioned she was into 3D art and I started exploring. And here I am!
My influences are all the other artists on sites such as Renderotica. I'll see something I like and challenge myself to try to create it. Sometimes I'll even reach out to other artists to ask what products or techniques they've used. I've learned A LOT from other artists, and I encourage new 3D artists to do the same.

Renderotica: I notice that most of your works feature more curvaceous models. What special interest does that hold for you?
Flaunts3D: I noticed a lack of body diversity in a lot of the renders that are out there. I decided I'd try to make my renders as realistic as possible, and for that to happen you've got to feature some curvy ladies as well. And also, I'm a curvy woman, so it seemed the best way to go :)

Renderotica: Could you describe the process you go through to set up and render an image?
Flaunts3D: Very few of my renders have started as a complete idea. I usually just start dropping characters and scenery in and create from there. There have been a few times I've had a fully developed plan of what I want to render, and I never seem happy with how those turn out. I more or less just let my creativity take hold.

Renderotica: What advice would you give to those just starting out in the 3D art field?
Flaunts3D: Don't be afraid to ask questions! Google only gets you so far. If you want to find out how to do something, there are numerous forums and other artists to ask. I've spent hours trying to figure some things out, only to ask an artist and find out how to do it in minutes.
Renderotica: Do you have any long term goals in relationship to your art?
Flaunts3D: I'd like to get more into content creation with Genesis 9. There are VERY few free resources out there for beginners, so I'd like to offer more to those just starting out.

Renderotica: Are there any projects, now or in the future, that you would like us to be aware of?
Flaunts3D: No projects at the moment, but I do have an interest in AI and figuring out how I can use it to enhance my renders. I'll always use products like DAZ to create, I get far more satisfaction out of it. But I am intrigued on how AI can help me add even more realism to my art.
