So I got into CG this time around not for sheer perversion sake, I mean, photorealistic characters, costumes, lighting and props with almost only the imagination as a limit. Which artist that isn't afraid of computers wouldn't want to do this sort of hobby on some level? A few years ago, I realised that mainstream porn is kinda blah, there are some gems out there but it's getting kinda boring. I got into Daz and Poser for admittedly hormonal reasons, but as I got into poser (I wasn't too good with Daz at the time), I found that despite everything, I learned a few things and I found myself actually giving a shit about composition and colours and artistic techniques. I was a bit of an artist (drawing and painting) prior to that, so it was just sort of a natural progression.
Althought there is a learning curve, and depending on experience and affinity for computers and now with unbiased redering engines available at low cost or free, it is possible to make some really nice art with a bit of effort. After I rendered my first image here, I knew it looked rather uninspired (I'm almost ashamed to show it here) especially after looking at the gallery here. A long way to go still, but I'm trying to get there and having fun along the way.
For a very long time, I have also been a writer and might soon publish something. The story is almost finsihed, so I would like to do a cover. I can't help but want to DIY as much as possible, for self expression reasons. So after playing around with a few ideas, CG seemed a viable choice. I have toyed around with several programs, and found that for the cost and technology level availble out there, Daz could do the job I want and I can pick up where I left off a few years ago. I love it, and when you love something you spend hours researching and learning how to get better at it. Also I'm not afraid of nudity or sexual content, especially in CG, so I stumbled upon Renderotica, and thought, hey, while I'm learning, and doing a few test renders for my book cover, why not do a few images specifically for this site and enjoy the process that much more. Love this site and love the inspiration that I find here.
