Q) what brought you into 3D?
The fascination of creating and shaping things.
I did photography before, but creating ´scenes´ there can easily become quite an effort ...
The power of 3d-art may easily be underestimated. I got fascinated by renders that looked almost photo-realistic, pictures where
your eyes could almost feel the softness of the skin ...
Q) How did you choose your nickname?
´render´ you´ll guess easily - and ´Rud´ comes from a part of my name.
Q) How long have you been creating your artwork?
To be honest, I still consider myself a bloody rooky. I started rendering about half a year ago.
Q) what are the specs of your render machine?
I use DazStudio with it´s shaders. Didn´t test Iray so far and I fear my computer will be too slow for it.
I´m running a Win7 64bit system with a AMD 1.4 GHz CPU.
Q)Poser or Daz Studio and why?
DazStudio - free, easy to use and quite performant. But since I´m not too long in the world of render yet,
I didn´t check other programmers - on the other hand, using DazStudio I didn´t feel the urge to do so ...
Q) What renderer do you use? (Stock Poser or Daz or 3rd party) And what lead you to use it?
Daz - see explanation above.
Q) what is your favorite work you’ve created?
There is no absolute favorite but as an example I chose a picture posted before. On this picture I like the soft
curves and the shine of the leather boots. // I included the alien exams 903 as well. It´s some kind of favorite also since it looks very sensual to me.
Q) Is there any image you’ve made that you wish you didn’t? why?
Not really. Some pictures I just like more than others. And a picture I´d not like myself I wouldn´t post anyway.
Q) What is your favorite ‘style’ of art to create?
I´m not really fixed on one certain style - even if I´m right now quite familiar with aliens.
Q) What inspired your “Alien Exam” series?
I played around with some stuff from Davo´s. I liked the pose of the girl bend on the table and started to develop a story around that.
This kind of defenselessness has it´s own certain thrill.
Q) What seems to take the most time for you when you make your renders?
First of all there is the composition of the scene, to prepare the room, to pose the figures and move them around - that takes most of the time. Then some test renders
to check scene and lightning and optimize both. Expressions can be tricky since often they appear different in the renders than on the screen.
But most work is the composition: first seed the figures and lights and cameras - and then just yield the crop by rendering.
Q) Will “Alien Breeding” be a similar series like “Alien Exam” was?
Similar - yes. It´s intended as some sort of sequel. Look at the girl: she´s the labeled one from the ´alien exam´,
still held captive by the aliens - where I can take her off the drawer at will once I get further ideas...
Q)) Out of all the various art mediums why 3D?
A small and humble way to shape the world - at least virtually.
Q) What are your plans for the future?
To win the lottery and buy the world - just kidding! I´m thinking of a series in the fantasy world since I´m not only in favor of sci-fi but
a true fan of fantasy as well. Even if I´ll surely not become the `Lord of the renderRings´...
Q) who are your favorite artists other than yourself?
HitmanX3Z and Erogenesis are artists that have large influence on me for quite a long time yet. KristinF provides versatile artwork as well. Right now
I follow the postings of DarkFall and emarukk. But these are only examples, since there are a lot of great artist here.
Q) If someone reading this wants to start creating their own artwork what words of advice would you give them?
Hold on to your ideas and fantasy. UYI - use your imagination!
Q) Do you have a job outside of 3D or do you consider this your full time occupation?
My profession is outside 3d and even computer - I'm just doing for love. It's a great counterweight to my daily business.
Q) Speech time! any final words you have for your, fans and fellow 3D community?
I really enjoy being with you all. To see all the other artist's work is quite inspiring. No matter if amateur or pro,
rendering can be a great way to realize ideas and create your own art. Finally a big thank you to all that followed my artwork so far, commented and made me going on - and a welcome to anybody who will in future.
