1)What brought you into 3D Art
I was surfing the web circa 2001, and noticed some earlier works of Premier Artist Revbayes who we know as Turk. I liked what I saw and looked into CG art programs and found Poser 3 at a computer show and gave it a try. Although the inbox meshes were crude, I realized the possibility to use CG programs to do comic art.
2) How did you choose your nickname?
Well my Siamese Cat was named Shado and aptly named as I was always tripping over him as he followed me everywhere like my own Shadow and I just adopted the name and added the “man” but dropped the “w” as there is a Licensed DC Comic called Shadowman.
3) How long have you been creating your artwork?
Roughly 12 years give or take
4) Where do you draw your inspirations from?
My comfort zone is BDSM and one of my favorite Bondage Artist was the late Robert Bishop who had a way with airbrushed art I own about everything he's ever created and strive to add a little of the "Bishop Flair" in many of my single panel art.
5) What are the specs of your render machine?
I have a dedicated Windows 7 OS system that does nothing but rendering, It’s a Intel i7 quad core processor and Main Board supporting 16 gigs of ram along with a 1 gig NVIDIA video card and a 1.5TB Sata HD
6) What is your favorite work you’ve created?
Wow! That’s a tough one. Along with posting single panel art, I’m more noted for my comics and I would have to say my most favorite story has to be Saving Face and the sequel Saving Face book 2. It’s a story based on the Oriental Term “Giri” which stands for obligation and what a young oriental woman must do to wipe out her father's massive gambling Debt. The story follows seven years of sexual servitude as a high end Call Girl

7) Out of all the various art mediums why 3D?
Why Not? CG generated programs have come a long way since Poser 3
The programs render images much faster now, and allow plug-in apps like Reality, Vue, and Bryce to further enhance ones craft. And then you have the many gifted merchants who support us with unique Props, textures, poses and expressions for our CG body Meshes.
8) What are your plans for the future?
Well I’m almost 65 and I’m slowing down some. This does not mean I’m throwing in the towel any time soon. So expect more Comics down the road. As long as the mind stay sharp, I’ll be posting my stories
9) Who your favorite artists other than yourself?
There are so may gifted artist out there but I would have to say Boris Vallejo and his gifted bride Julie Bell If I had to choose from some of my Fellow Premier alumni, then I would begin with Incarnadine, Pitchblack, Kristin F, Damselactionbabe, Choppski, Revbayes, and fellow comic artists CaptainTrips, and Laverson
10) if someone reading this wants to start creating their own artwork what words of advice would you give them?
Experiment with a Free program like DAZ Studio and find out if you have the patience to devote the time to develop your craft and constantly raise the bar for yourself.
11) When developing your pose & animation sets, what's been your most influential source for ideas?
Growing up I had a vivid imagination and still do. Most of my Comics are from my own ideas or influenced from the Bishop Comic Fanni Hall. All my stories have a bondage theme to them, as this is my comfort zone. Yet my work is never cover to cover "Bondage Porn". I develop my characters within my stories, Inject a little humor now and then and try to include a few plot twist to keep things interesting. In a couple of my stores, I've included an "Alternate Ending" which I think is unique for comic art..
12) Any hints on what your next project is going to include?
.With the move to our new Renderotica website, I can begin work on the next chapter of my Running Comics Series Terri Steele. I hope to get Volume 7 and 8 completed for 2014
13) Do you have a job outside of 3D or do you consider this your full time occupation?
Well I turned 64 this year, so rendering art and comics is a good way to earn a little supplemental income to pay for props, and software upgrades
14) With all the recent advancements in 3D technology what excites you the most? What do you dread the most?
I’d love to see more products and plug-in options be a tad easier to work with than they are now. I’m thinking of raising the bar a little by using Reality 3 with Luxrender but have no clue how to use it.
What I dread the most is Censorship. Artistic expression should be allowed to flourish with the exception of exploiting children, no government or congressional party or religious faction there of, should have a say in what an artist does to express themselves.
