The spanking community recognizes the importance of capturing the raw motion of a spanking in its fullness, rather than simply relying on comical stars or "zip ribbons" to loosely demonstrate it. However, many might wonder if it’s worth the effort to take the time to capture such nuances. As an artist, when I post images of spanking scenes with dynamic depictions of the buttocks, flattening and wobbling on Renderotica.com, I often wonder if the audience appreciates the gravity of the situation. Do they prefer more “perfect” images with un-flattened, un-wobbled bottoms, even if they look a bit staged and are technically wrong? To me and my spanko Twitter followers, there’s no substitute for seeing the motion. We have been thrilled by spanking all our lives and have seen and in most cases also lived its effects. To understand it, you need to experience it. When my bottom is spanked it bounces in all directions. It’s dynamic and powerful, it wobbles my thighs and my legs, and the larger smacks sometimes open me for a short instance. To capture that perfectly without the use of stars and comic onomatopoeias is a challenge I’m always aiming to achieve. What does everyone think on this subject?
So far, I’ve received the following opinions on the subject. If you would like your opinion added to the blog leave a comment and I’ll add it.
1) As I mentioned before, I'm not a spanking fan - but I like the way you create your scenes.
As commented in the gallery, this "wiggle" thing reminds me of the slo mo action of the movie "Dredd" ... and I really like that movie. And yes - you're right: in real life (and shot with an ultra-high-speed camera), things wiggle and shake in ways that you can't normally see, or rather, recognize.
And that's the point: while a hand touching - or even hovering over - a (possibly discolored) butt can easily be interpreted by anyone as a spanking scene, a deformed butt captured at the moment of impact looks a bit strange at first glance if "Dredd" or other high-speed camera movies are not familiar.
What may also need to be considered: is a person's musculature relaxed (soft) or tense (hard) during spanking? This has - imho - a great influence on the wiggel wobbel thing ... or rather: the strength of the effect.
In short, I like your "thunderclap" scenes and look forward to your next images!
2) A good question, motion is a tricky thing to capture in still but without it images can look so obviously staged, like early photographs all stiff and unnatural. As you delightfully point out flesh reacts, wobbles and distorts quite a lot in reality but the eye, and the imagination, only catch a glimpse of that motion so full and accurate recreation could be out of step with perception. I'm no leader in the field but to my mind, and ambition, capturing the essence is the challenge.
Those are just my thoughts anyway.
