The Frivolous Fantasies line of comics continue with NextLevel's most recent installment "An Encounter With Evil." 

 

Dovetailing off of the previous comic, The Serial Killer From the Second World War, this story is set in January, 1942. The scene is in the occupied city of Angeles, in the Philippines. The Japanese have taken Manila, and the war continues.

 

The Japanese pilot Kashiida is rescued form the burning inferno. Soon thereafter, he has deep, dark, frightening and sensual reveries that are bad portents of what is to come in the war. 

 

When he awakens from the macabre reveries, he finds that the tables have turned, and he is on the receiving end of grave misfortune.
