She hated the Exo suits. The hum of the generators sounded like angry bees, and for a few minutes after strapping into the suits, that vibration made her feel like those bees were crawling all over her skin. She had to breathe and calm herself each time to keep the rising panic from driving her to claw her way free.

And then there was that smell. That odd metallic tang with a cloying sweet stench of the artificial lubricants. She knew he loved the suits. It wasn't hard to notice the absolute gleeful smile he wore every time the docking bay lights blinked on and the generators started that awful hum...
