I recently completed building a new PC with an RTX 3080 and am starting to learn Daz3D. I've observed that people on this site create props for specific models in Daz and other programs. What distinguishes a prop as being designed for Genesis 8 Female and Male figures, and how does one go about making these props when the modeling is done in Blender?

Wow — just a small question for such a big subject ;)
To put it simply: Props in Blender are created and customized based on the size and build of a Genesis character. For example, Genesis 9 is smaller than Genesis 8. As a result, there is a general correlation with the model (G9, G8, etc.).
There are several ways to make a Blender prop work with DAZ: for clothing, for example, the DAZ Transfer Utility is used so that the clothing moves with the model's various poses. Rigid props, such as a candle or horns, are attached to the model using RFN (Rigid Follow Nodes) and then follow the model's general movement.

Answer to the last part of your question: Don't use the original DAZ Bridge to Blender, use "diffeomorphic".
Hier you can read why: https://xanathon.com/2026/04/diffeomorphic-daz-to-blender-why-i-switched-and-never-looked-back/
