Hi! In Daz Alpha after using the 2025 Mat script (which seems to work perfectly) for Roasty, afterwards when I apply a preset other than the base preset on my character, it applies to everything but the Body (which I believe is the labia majora). For instance, I tried looking to see what was wrong, but even the most extreme changes are barely showing up (pics below). I tried looking at the MATs, but for the life of me I couldn't find the issue. I messed with the normals, thinking it might be under the Roasty Body texture, but when I Hide the Body texture, I can see the Shell just barely modifying the Body zone (screenshot included). The character herself is PBR and HD, but I doubt this is the issue, and I have none of these issues with either GP or Dik and am stumped. Is this an oversight or a limitation of Roasty? Is the new shell copying script for Daz Alpha missing something critical and not setting up the Geoshell Body zone correctly in the first place? If this was intended, how can I manually change it where coloration changes show up without touching the base Body texture? 


I know how to setup Meipe's genitalia, and have done so (usually successfully LOL) for several years. I am using the most recent 2025 Roasty (downloaded and tested as of 10-18) script and the most recent Daz Alpha. It may be possible that Daz changed their Alpha yet again, I don't know. What I do know is that the preset changes I am applying, even the basic S1A-S4B ones, aren't affecting the Body texture which is the labia majora (for those unfamiliar with Roasty), and I have tested this with different characters and get the same result. This unfortunately leaves a rather unsightly difference between the new and old textures, and I was hoping someone had a fix or knowledge on what was wrong and whether a fix is being worked on.

I can't say if it is the same with roasty as I don't use it much. But I know Labia Majora on Golden Palace is colored via a shell for the Majora which was added through Pussy Wizard. So I'm not sure if roasty has a similar shell or not.


 


I'm not sure what is going on in your images though, it looks like it could be a shader mismatch/application error or even a case where the Applied character Materials are using a non-standard UV.


 


Also make sure you are applying presets to the right figure, ie MAT Copy should be applied with base figure selected, presets you'll usually either have graft or shells selected. Though Meipe has started using H. Materials more which allow the base figure to be selected and it will apply to the graft or shells, however not knowing what changes az has made with the Alpha, they may have broken/changed H.Material implementation in 2025 for all I know. I mean I know the 2025 script was needed because Daz changed scripting enough that previous versions scripts no longer worked, so perhaps they've changed how H.Materials are working.


 


You can always try copying the body material from Genesis 9 manually if the scripts aren't working. Go to Surfaces select Body, Right Click and press copy, then go to Surfaces on Roasty pick Body, Right Click and Paste. As long as the shaders are the same it should copy the G9 Body surface to the Roasty Body surface.


 


Really with it being in the Alpha though there is so much that Daz could have changed, that is going to break how products might work.

The base skin texture/coloring on the Body (labia majora) shell are not exactly the problem; the original skin color & texture copied over just fine. I am trying to apply a Character Preset to Roasty and it is updating everything but the Body shell. I can't just copy the skin bc it is lighter than the genitalia -- I had selected a Character preset specifically to change the genitalia color. Maybe Meipe missed changing that portion of the shell to hierarchical, or Daz changed something that broke that portion of Meipe's script. I will try selecting Roasty and then the Body shell specifically and see if that works (good suggestion btw), but otherwise I am down to eyeballing it. I am also now remembering that Daz Alpha allows you to use a color picker, so maybe that will help if I have to do the latter.

Thanks for the suggestions tho, I did want to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious and it sounds like I am on the right track. Just need to come at it fresh today :-)
