Hi,
i try to render some Close Ups from NG7. I have tweaked the Original Textures a little bit for my own (+ NGSII-Shader for Example). It looks good for me specially at the Labia Minora (and I will tweak it more).
Which makes me dissatisfied is the Distortion of the Inner Thighs-Texture when I bend it to spread the Legs. I know you need the highest possible Quality from Textures. And this isn't a Problem from only NG7 by its own. But it has to do with it. The Texture-Distortion will apear an any Character, when I bend her Legs.
What can I do? (sorry for bad english, thanks for reading)

The scripts compatible with N.G.S shader:

NGV6-2.0:

This is from the first post in this thread and is 2 years old. I'm wondering if these scripts work with the N.G.S.2 shaders?

That's awesome, thanks for telling me this.
Is it possible for you to upload a render done with NGS2 of the Gens so that I can see the difference? I know that images aren't done justice when they're uploaded here, but I might be able to get an idea. I'm thinking of buying NGS2, but it's $50 at the moment and I sure would like to know that it improves things. I gather from what I'm seeing that the first version is redundant if you buy the second version. Is that true?
Thanks,
Jon

There is a thread on the DAZ forum dedicated to the product - my renders are poor compared to what can be done so I'd recommend you looking at the examples there. The Gens have the same skin as the rest of the body so the effect is character specific. All I can say is that they look natural and I've yet to find one that doesn't look better with NGS2. And the freebie script makes it so simple to update the gens to NGS2 - one click.
As for the price, I had it wish-listed since it came out and grabbed it in a recent sale for 50% discount when stacked with another item. There's a Chrome browser add-on that alerts you when wish-listed items are on sale.

Hello,
I'm in need of a little help. I started using N.G.S. 2 and are applying the gens with the neat free script available in the first post.
Now I've noticed there are visible seams on the inner thigh, like this: http://i.imgur.com/QAANX8h.png
Is there a simple way to fix that?

Looks like the displacement map issue that I had not long ago.
You have to go into the geometry for the torso and turn off the displacement.
Not all models have that.

@DominicTesla
If you're not using NVS2, and maybe even if you are, check the textures in the newgens against the main skins
In surfaces, wherever there is a texture, click the downarrow at the side; there is a list of options; one of them will be "Image Editor", click on this. The one at fault, almost always I've found is "Image Gamma" It needs to be the same as those on the character (often zero, but not always); just change it to the same and Accept.
Sometimes it is just one texture that is wrong, other times it can be a few.
Note that this happens when saving the images for later use, instead of always having them created when the character loaded. I don't recall it happening at any other time.

This problem can not be avoided, because when the thigh is bent, the polygon in this part will be violent deformation, resulting in the corresponding texture distortion.
One solution is to use the clone tool in Photoshop to copy the 'good' colors from other places to where the distortions appear, this can alleviate the problem.

Any idea what would cause this?
I thought the New Gens just took the textures that were there, but this glowing stuff is not on the model.
I'm wondering why it is only the anus and the hood that is wrong but the rest is fine?

Hi 3feetwolf
I am a big fan of your product. Yesterday I bought the Genesis 3 Female(s) Wet Body Iray. Unfortunately they aren't compatible. Do you have any tricks do solve the problem so that I can use for example the "Wet body water beads oily" on her whole body with the new genitalie for Victoria 7? If yes, could you please described it as step for step solution, because I am new in DAZ 3D.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards

Hi, please try these steps:
1. apply new gens to V7, then add the Wet Body.
2. select the Wet Body prop in the Scene pane, go to the Parameters pane. Browse to Shell > Visibility > Surfaces, find out new_gens_V7_4948_Labia Minora and new_gens_V7_4948_Vagina&Rectum. Change their visibilities to Off.
3. go to the Surfaces pane(make sure that the Wet Body prop is still selected), find out new_gens_V7_4948_Anus and new_gens_V7_4948_Torso, change their Shaders to Iray Uber.
4. copy material settings of Torso and paste them to new_gens_V7_4948_Anus and new_gens_V7_4948_Torso, done.
