Hello,
I have been looking for a good solution to make a penis prop for years and now I guess I have found it. I hope this product can be useful to you. If you have any questions or problems, please post them here.

Hi,
I have already a problem! Every time when I want to load your genitalia model, it doesn't find the base character model texture. I have to add manually to it. After to add it, I wanted to change the texture to not have the texture of the base model, but I can't. Nothing happens when I try to add your textures on the material tab. Nothing happens when I go to customize color either. Something is not working. I tried 3 different models, but doesn't work for any of them. I'm doing something wrong?

Would you consider also making a version of this for G8M and G8F? Thank you.

Hi,
Please check if the following folders exist. If they don't exist, create these folders manually (case sensitive), then the problem should be fixed.
/data/3feetwolf/HD Penis for Genesis 9/JSON/
/Runtime/Textures/3feetwolf/HDPenisforGenesis9/GeometryShells/
/Runtime/Textures/3feetwolf/HDPenisforGenesis9/Characters/
Some Mac users may encounter this problem. The above three folders are empty folders I created in the installation package. They will be used to store the json files, masks and textures generated by the scripts. It seems that they were ignored by the operating system and not copied to the user's daz library folder. As a result, some scripts cannot run properly because they cannot find these folders. In this case, we just need to manually create these empty folders.

Yes I am thinking about it, the main issue is that the topology of g8 and g9 is not the same, everything has to be started from scratch.

Hi,
Thanks, it's working now, BUT if you had a tattoos layer on the model, then couldn't find the texture again. It's easy to solve it: you have to add first the HD Penis, then after add the tattoos. If you want to change the materials on the penis model, you have to delete the tattoo layer first.

Hi,
If I understand correctly, when we first apply a tattoo prop to the character, then apply HDPG9 to it, and the texture not found message appeare again?
Could you tell me which tattoo prop you used? I'll see how to solve this problem.

Yes, you understand correctly. Sorry, my english is not very good.
I used the Street Tough Tattoos prop.

Thank you. I found the problem.
This tattoo prop uses Layered Image Editor. It will cause two results. One is that LIE will regenerate textures with random names for the character, and the other is that the character texture name obtained through the internal function provided by daz studio is inconsistent with the texture name generated by LIE. Currently, the HDPG9 script cannot handle this situation.
However, I don't think HDPG9 needs to be improved for this. Because these tattoos do not cover the penis part. So users just need to follow the order you provied, apply HDPG9 to their characters first, and then apply this tattoo prop. This is the simplest way.

The same problem here (on a windows pc with DAZ Studio 4.23), so I created the empty folders as mentioned. The JSON and Characters folders contain files after applying the penis but the folder GeometryShells is still empty (should it be filled?). As a result I get a clone of the character in some distance with standard gray skin and a colored penis (with veins and a colored glans). The character himself is missing the veins and the colored glans. The character was created without any modifications as tatoos. The clone mimics all movements of the character. Any idea what I could have done wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for your feedback. I thought this problem only happened on Mac, that was my fault.
However, the new update is under review by the store. Whatever the reason for the missing folders, the improved script can automatically create them. Ensure that the product can work properly.
The GeometryShells folder is only used if you add other geometry shell products to the character. HDPG9's apply script and update script will save some new mask files to this folder and use them to make HDPG9 compatible with other geometry shell products.
Regarding the problem you encountered, I will install version 4.23 for testing. If I find anything, I will get back to you as soon as possible.

I found the problem. Daz 4.23 changed the default shader of geometry shell from DAZ Studio Default to PBRSkin, which made some codes invalid. I have updated the script. Please download this new script to replace the old one and see if it can solve the problem.

With the fix the gray clone is gone now, but there is still an issue: When applying a penis, parts of the penis (shaft, scrotum) are applied to the character (i used Ty and Matt for the tests) and move properly with the character when i reposition the character. Other parts of the penis (scrotum, glans, veins and rectum) seem to be not connected with the character and move about twice the speed of the character when i reposition it (moving the character himself or eg bow the upper body). This x, y, z offset appears too, when the character is moved from the center position before applying the penis.
With the pure G9 model there are no separated parts (just an error message because og the missing character skin). The separated parts only appear, when a character skin is used. Edited by user Wednesday, October 9, 2024 9:16:27 AM(UTC)

I tested Ty and Matt, but I don't seem to encounter the problem you mentioned. Could you describe your steps in more detail and upload some screenshots? Maybe I missed something in my testing.

Question when you say it's separating, do you mean it is stretching the graft between figure and graft, or is it separating where graft is no longer connected to figure?
If it is the second (and especially if the figure skin where the graft is, becomes visible) then it might be the tool you have selected. Several tools seem to break graft functionality while they are in use/selected examples being Mesh Grabber, Geometry Editor, Joint Editor, to name a few. Good news is if it is the tool selection then switching to a different tool, like Node Selection, will usually pop the graft back in place.

Thanks to your questions, I could narrow down the error. In this case it was error 40 (or error in layer 8), meaning 40 cm in front of the screen :-)
I had to select the node of the whole character before applying the script. In DAZ < 4.23 it worked as well if you select for example the chest or hip only.
In DAZ 4.23 you have to select the character with all objects as node to work as expected.
Thanks to 3feetwolf as well for the fast fixing of the script. Without the fix in DAZ 4.23 there was a shadow clone even if i select the character as node.
Best regards from the noob of the day

This is a really good product if you know how to handle it. Thanks a lot for the development and the support.
