Were you hesitant to upgrade to Daz Studio 6 because MF's beloved Render Queue plugin no longer works? As many Daz users know, Daz Studio 6 is not compatible with MF's Render Queue, leaving users with very few options for managing queued renders without a ridiculously expensive Daz Premier subscription.

Until now.

Over the past few months, I've been developing my own Render Queue plugin specifically for Daz Studio 6. It brings back the convenience and peace of mind of being able to queue your renders and let a plugin handle the rest, while also introducing additional features and improvements. Best of all, there's no subscription required. The plugin is yours to keep, with a free Lite version and a Pro version available for a one-time purchase.

Now you can enjoy the convenience of a powerful render queue while taking full advantage of the major performance improvements introduced with Daz Studio 6, without having to stick with Daz Studio 4 just to keep your old render queue workflow.

The plugin comes in two versions:

  • Render Queue Lite (COMPLETELY FREE):
  • Render Queue Pro (One-time payment of $30):

Render Queue Pro is also available on RenderHub, but it's $40 instead of $30 due to RenderHub taking a bigger cut out of sales compared to DeviantArt:

I love DAZ Studio and use it almost every day as a 3D content creator. A render queue is essential to my workflow because I often want to prepare several scenes during the day and let them render while I am away from the computer.

The original standalone Render Queue by ManFriday was made for DAZ Studio 4. Native DAZ Studio 4 plugins cannot simply be loaded into DAZ Studio 6 because DAZ Studio 6 uses a new plugin SDK and Qt 6 runtime. DAZ now includes batch-rendering functionality with DAZ Studio Premier, which is available through an ongoing Premier membership. At the time of writing, DAZ lists Premier at $199 per year or $18.98 per month.

Premier includes many benefits beyond batch rendering, but a subscription was not the right fit for me, and I don't really need other features such as sculpting (I use tools intended for that such as Zbrush).

  • Render Queue Lite: Completely free to download and use. Lite provides the essential queue workflow with a maximum of 20 pending, failed, or skipped scenes. No subscription.
  • Render Queue Pro: Available for $30 as a one-time purchase. Pro removes the Lite queue limit and includes the complete automation, customization, diagnostics, notification, and shutdown feature set. No recurring payment is required to keep using the purchased version. It also has a full PDF guide included.

I spent a great deal of time designing, building, testing, and documenting this plugin. The Pro edition helps support that work. I also intend to maintain compatibility as DAZ Studio 6 evolves! :)

Render Queue Lite and Render Queue Pro are original, independent plugins made by me (GTSX-3D). They are not copies, modifications, or repackaged versions of previous plugins or DAZ Studio Premier's Render Queue, nor are they affiliated with or endorsed by DAZ3D.

Curious to see what you think of the plugin!

Oh, and just in case you're paranoid like me, here are the VirusTotal results, the last thing I wanna do is ship something shady and ruin my reputation as an established content creator :)

What the hell is a render queue. When I typed it into google my laptop started crying. It can barely cope with one render and that takes it 8 hours.

Render Queue allows you to stage the rendering of many scenes (for example when you sleep at night) without requiring you to sit at the desk and manually open and render scenes.

The plugin closes daz studio entirely after each render in the queue, which clears out VRAM completely before the next scene is loaded. It has nothing to do with computer resources :)

That's a useful tool! Sadly my overnight renders rarely complete before I get up. I am playing around with scene optimisation, so if I can get the same results in a few hours I will definitely buy this.
