He let off some steam on RH yesterday. Username: NotExcessive. That made all the leechers even more aggressive than they already are. I think Excessive would be in good hands here on 'rotica/cgbytes. Unfortunately, I couldn't convince him.

Problem is, as what Brother said, many people are getting their stuff that are FREEBIES, seen RESOLD somewhere else for actual money. Like that sort of shit shouldn't be tolerated by anyone. You offer something for free, it SHOULD STAY FREE?! Not resold for a quick buck.
And warez, if it hasn't already, is on it's way out too for allowing such things. Like this is how sites and companies go under: by not BACKGROUND CHECKING of what all comes in.
If RH did the right amount of checking of what got uploaded to the site, they probably would never have got into this situation. Did they probably have not enough help to run it? Possibly. Cause you do need manpower to moderate the site, which includes approving vendors and what the vendors are selling. And if it's only like a handful of people, they would literally be doing LOTS of work 24/7, and not have anytime for themselves.
If you don't have enough help to do all of that, you then run into the situation you now have going on at RH...

R-H has said (somewhere, I lost the link some time ago) that part of the store's design was to be fast to market. I stopped buying scripts from them after that (I assume they only do a rudimentary check) and have encountered 3 suspicious files (2 were rar compressed and one was too suspiciously large to be a "normal" 3d model). Your point is particularly interesting since: empty file updates were allowed to be uploaded and "closed accounts" have come back with new user names. As you implied, if there was ANY checking going on, a lot of this would not happen.
It's their site to do with as they please; but that "quick to market".. "design" is concerning. Also concerning is all the people who have left, I went through my likes (to set up a DA account to start following artists themselves) and all the names of those who stopped posting...

Yep. Nothing was really being Looked over when it came in. It's almost like RH was being run as a Quick Cash Grab site, and imo, that is a scummy way to run a business.
So people can't use, "It's Censorship" when the site itself was being run horribly bad from the start. I mean they went through I think 3 Different design changes in the recent couple of years, and they have removed vendors that were uploading questionable assets, including Game Rips, but they weren't doing it fast enough, and that is probably why we are now where we are at now.
It is what it is. There are other sites that still allow Adult content, even DA does, but you have to put it behind a PAYWALL in order to have it on your profile,
I mean you can still show full frontal nudity on DA, it's just anything "X RATED" has to be blurred and hidden behind Monetization.
I mean that's what BAFFLES me with RH's decision making. Like Nude Artwork has been done for years and even full frontal nudity. As long as it don't show the woman actually Masturbating or any penetration, it isn't Adult, only Mature rated or R Rated.
But again, there is more going on at RH that is problematic, that people seem to not notice. Like if they are allowing people to just upload whatever they wish, be it crappy assets, AI generated Assets, reselling Free stuff as then now Paid, Game Rips, etc. etc., then what is happening at RH is warranted and Justified, and no one should be at fault here, but the RH Admins for not doing what they should've been from the start... Their design reduces the amount of work and workers needed to run the place and I suspect those baffling decisions are simply owner preferences (based off of a random comment made during the gay art kerfuffle a few months back).

Btw, I like the comment editor here. Looking forward to see what happens here as the new-old ownership get's going.

Oh and that POSE STUDIO idea that Ion is trying to make, it smells like Plagiarism to me. Like it's literally Poser/DAZ Studio merged together as one, and just rename it as "Pose Studio", which is probably ANOTHER reason RH is under so much Flak... "The gaining of Knowledge, is like the Fettering of a Sword. It must be Honed and Molded, to where it can then cut any Lie, and Deception..."

I don't blame you for not trusting them. They have done so many Backroom Decision making that seems off putting. I be MORE surprised, if anyone DOES trust them...

Maybe we should slowly but surely stop bashing RH. It's fun, sure... but it doesn't accomplish anything, and by now I feel like I'm beating a dead horse (which is absolutely not my thing).
gohanf2285 and kwerkx are right: only when products are tested can users and customers be sure they won't be ripped off with cheap or defective products.
However, quite a few 3D developers are reluctant to have their products tested—not only for the reasons mentioned, but also because of very (!!!) negative experiences with Rendo. There (on Rendo), testing does not mean (as it does here) checking a product for functionality or for copyright infringement. The testers there really meddle in everything: the promos have to show this and that for a product to be accepted; clay images aren’t allowed in pose sets… and one of the testers even went so far as to try to dictate to me how I should name the surface materials. That’s why I said goodbye to Rendo years ago… but the bad impression still lingers.

EDIT: I never really had much problems with Rendo, cause some of my favorite Vendors I like buying from are over there, like Nirvy and Rhiannon for one, but I do agree some people over there are Narcissitic in nature and they go the whole "It's either my way, or the highway" situation.
Problem is, some of DAZ Sites KNOWN SUBVERSIVES also work over on rendo, like Richard for example, who is not liked by many...although I am not even sure if that is a real person anymore. Many believe the account on DAZ is just an AI Driven one now...

But yeah, let's wind down on the RH bashing, it's kind of pointless to beat a dead horse as they say.

Drop Kicks the dead horse... Climbs to the top turnbuckle, grabs chainsaw. Revs it up for a pop. Then Swantons off with chainsaw to the horse. Covers horse. Looks at ref and yells Count Ref...

This is NOT RH bashing, but more like a “Guys, get the popcorn, chips, and cold drinks ready” kind of update:
Yesterday, another very good 3D artist (The Joke of Spades) announced that he’ll be leaving RH soon. He’s currently deleting his gallery (as much as he can—apparently there’s a Catch-22 situation with images, too). The same goes for Mogee (I love his images), and unfortunately, Vince—with his special lighting technique—isn’t around anymore either.
Q: What’s left when we creative rats abandon the sinking ship?
A: The piles of crap :D

The Horse plops down on it's butt looking every bit like a huge dog, head tilted, tongue out, big teeth, and eyes crossed. "Dead Horse!" chants fill the hall as beer foam shoots high into the air! Clowns emerge (there must always be clowns) confetti, multi-colored lights, and a fog machine clog the air as a BOOMING voice from ABOVE says: ...
