The official character outfits wouldn't be an issue, because they'd rarely be wearing clothes in my artwork! XD
However, when they DO have clothing on, I'll always use normal everyday outfits (mostly goth-style) because even fictional 3D people should have more to wear than just their "trademark" costumes.
As for the names of the subjects, I would avoid using those entirely and never add any tags that reveal who the characters actually are (or what games they're from). I'll only use the necessary labels that describe what activities are featured in my images. If members here recognize the characters anyway, that's great, but if not, still great - no one really needs to know.
However, if I MUST alter the unique bodies, attractive faces and hair of the characters, that wouldn't be my idea of fanart and I'd have to work ONLY with generic Daz models here. I may just have to save my erotic fanart for P*treon and put it all behind a very small paywall - which I'd hate to do because there's a 99% to 100% chance that my art will never be seen. Other creators there are currently doing that quite successfully (creating and posting erotic videogame character renders), so P*treon might be my only option when it comes to proper fanart from me. :(

To be clear, what I meant by altering the characters, was so that if anyone see them, their first thought is 'oh that's so and so... or it least it looks like it is" that "Look's like" is the safety net, you want it to be more "inspired by" then "prob created with a game rip asset converted to Daz format" if that makes sense. so whether that is slightly shifting a hair color, adding a mole, freckle, birthmark to the skin either in app or in post, changing the colorscheme to be diff then their official colors, that makes all the difference.
But I totally understand you desire to be safe and for your art to be seen, so if you do decide to forgo uploading those types of images, allow me to say you CAN post those types of images to Twitter/X and Deviant Art (Though DA may have issues depending how graphic the images are) and I totally understand the desire to not paywall your images (Unless you're wanting to just sell collections commercially of course :)
And no thanks needed for making you feel a bit younger, those of us who've been knocking around since the 90's or ealy 2000's I suspect are all into our 50's 60's and even 70's lol, I myself am quickly hitting 50 in September, though my brain still thinks I'm in my 20's until I stand up, or sneeze then I swear I might be 80 lol.
But as they say, with age, it's mind over matter, I don't mind I'm old so it don't matter lol

Yes, I just want EVERYONE to be safe and avoid doing anything that would put this site in danger. So I'll just use my "Artist Studio" here to post erotic artwork of generic Daz models, but they'll all be extremely attractive ones so my gallery will be worth at least one look! XD
DA is a horrible, hateful place that permanently suspended me (after 7 long years of PAID loyalty to them) for posting a few non-explicit GIFs from an R-rated LGBTQ+ comedy/drama that didn't even have any actual nudity in the sex scene (I even marked the posts as "Mature" to fully comply with DA's rules). So I want nothing else to do with THEM, but I have been thinking about posting censored versions of my NSFW fanart on Twitter. I'll eventually do uncensored versions through P*treon, but will only have the paywall at $1.00 or under (if that's possible), because I'm not in this for money. ♥
My entire body loves to remind me on a daily basis that I'm not in my 20s anymore! XD
Seriously though, I feel so much more comfortable in the 3D community now that I know I'm not too old to be doing this wild stuff. My one regret about the hobby is that I didn't find out about all this amazing technology decades ago - although I can definitely see how much it's improved over the past 20-something years.

And the enshitification continues ...
The externally imposed purge was explained in a bit more detail 24 hours after the 'spectacular' thread on 'Evolution' (which is actually more of a 'DEvolution'), and thus became (through gritted teeth) acceptable. So far, so bad...
This morning, things took a more personal turn: a thread I had created to help developers AND interested users discuss ways to publish NSFW content under the new guidelines—and which I had linked to in every possible place—was moved by an RH admin in such a way that it is no longer visible or accessible to regular users.
As far as I'm concerned, this interference crossed a line. It's simply not acceptable for important information and assistance to be undermined by out-of-control admins who want to demonstrate their power.
Long rant, short solution: As PasahRi (my Pushee account on RH for NSFW projects), I will NO LONGER be posting any projects, I will NOT continue the mentioned thread, and I will NOT include the existing projects in any discounts. And as Pushee-Ri (my account there for SFW products), I will now be posting tons of projects here on cgbytes that were previously Renderhub-only. Gotta have some fun :D

And might I add Pawngame is doing a jaw dropping job of transitioning content in a hurry. The video store ones that had hundreds of individual porn covers are back with hundreds on non-porn covers. And all those were separate textrures, it would have taken me weeks to pull that off
And I never got to read your answer to when I mentioned why males or females would work on Dr Pervic's tower.  Besides, this place has better smilies. They make clothes for V4? Why??

Yeah, Pawngame is a real workhorse. It's just unbelievable at times... But you also have to know that Pawngame lost nearly 800 (!!) products in the purge. If that isn't ultra-brutal...
A quick note about my thread: it was moved because the arrogant and narrow-minded admin thought it didn't belong in the General section. So it was a completely personal decision by an idiot who can't see the bigger picture.

They must have moved it to a vendor only section because I sure can't find it ;)
On Pawngame, then again, there are only so many close up pictures of a human anus one needs in one's feed, and I had them in my hub. So every dark cloud has a... well we just won't go there 
Aside from products dealing with that and Japanese food, I own an embarrassing amount of the items in that catalog. They make clothes for V4? Why??

first and foremost, before you spend a bunch of time and create a neverending upload queue, shoot me a PM and we can talk about migrating those RH products right into your catalog, instead of you submitting them one by one by one :)
Now, did the thread just get moved to like a vendor forum so only vendors could see it, or did they wipe it completely?
Also was that the thread I posted our Render Reference images, and had a few ROT themed posts? that COULD be why it was moved/removed, I was trying to be careful how much I said about here over there, but I'm thinking that was the thread I had my vendor hat on more and was trying to help fellow vendors lol
And THANK YOU for explaining the PashaRi / Pushee thing at first I totally missed they were diff names, but then when I noticed they talked to eachother I got very confused lol, I was about to send you a PM last night to ask you about that but then (happily) I fell asleep lol

Once they get a break I need to reach out to Pawngame, they have a LOT more products over there then here, and I JUST became aware of their content while going product by product through the catalog over the past month+ their stuff looks amazing and I was planning on promoting some of it in an upcoming "Sets/Scenes" newsletter, I had thought they just came and went until I found them on Renderhub.
As for the smilies.. happy to say those came from me lol, the only big "fight" we had was what color to make them lol

Sorry to be THAT guy.. but Pawngame is one of my favorites and another favorate is evgen1963 with an equally massive 1000+ R-H catalog (almost exclusively animations which are hard to find). I would love to see both of thier massive catalogs over here. </that guy moment>
