Renderotique Checkout Update

We continue to make progress behind the scenes and are hopeful that adult checkout services could begin returning as soon as next week.

While some parts of the process are outside of our control, everything is moving in the right direction and we will provide additional updates as they become available.

There is currently NO checkout on Renderotique,  you can add items to your cart, you can start the checkout process, but when you get to the payment part the dropdown list is empty.

We are in the process of obtaining a new processing company for Renderotique, once that is completed checkout will be live again on Renderotique

I think there are a few misunderstandings here that are worth clearing up.

Renderotique wasn't created because of the current processing issue. It's been part of how the sites handled high risk content for many years due to payment processor requirements. Depending on what was in your cart, purchases have routed through different storefronts for well over a decade.

Your accounts, purchase history and downloads are not split between the sites. All three sites share the same database and your login works across them. As I may have mentioned earlier in this thread (or another one), your downloads are available across all three sites as well. As far as I'm aware, there isn't any split there.

Also, not everything currently redirects to Renderotique. At the moment, comics, image sets and some explicit 3D products require high risk processing, but a large portion of the 3D catalog can still be purchased through CGbytes. If the Buy button takes you to CGbytes, that product is available for purchase.

As for payment processing, the current team didn't create this situation. The previous management lost the high risk processor over a year ago. Since taking over, we've been working to restore proper processing while making sure everything is done correctly and remains compliant going forward.

I completely understand that it's frustrating. It's frustrating for customers, vendors and staff alike. We're working toward a long term solution rather than a temporary workaround so, hopefully, we won't find ourselves dealing with a similar issue again months or years down the road.

This is the first time I have EVER seen "Renderotique"... all my orders and whatnot lives on Renderotica. I just bought Dictator assets in November. When I log into Renderotique, they are not there because I did not buy anything there. Assets that used to pull up in the Renderotica catalog and checkout there now redirects to Renderotique.

The issue is that I never actually used Renderotique, only Renderotica. All of my stuff is here, not there, and I only purchase the NSFW DAZ products for Genesis 8... have a bunch from Meipe, but now they redirect to Renderotique, which again... never ever heard of it before.

Based on what I can see, I always had "www.cgbytes.com" as the one I was paying to, but Renderotica has the order.

Which begs the question... if Renderotica is the one that has all the NSFW "high risk" content in my history, then did they even use Renderotique? Because again, first time I've ever seen Renderotique.. and I've been using Renderotica since 11/27/2023.

I now at least fully understand the issue you are facing, and sadly I nor anyone else on staff will really have a full answer for this because in my case I left here in Oct of 2023 so I can't speak how things were handled here from then until May of this year when I came back.  and the rest of the current team just got back here in May as well, and they had been gone since 2018 / 2019.

All I can say is to say that while you "used" Renderotica, Renderotica has never actually been a "store" all the way back to 1999,  it's a "community site" (Forums, Galleries, contests, etc) and it displays "ads" for all products in our network (CGbytes and Renderotique) the way checkout was from 2012 - 2023 was indeed how I explained it in my prior post and how it will be again once everything is properly routed and all purchases should be routed to the proper checkouts and all downloads should be available on all 3 sites.

I just checked both of my accounts here and I can confirm my downloads are available on all 3 sites, BUT I can also say I had not made purchases between Oct-23 and May-26 so there is a good possibility that whatever changes the prior team made might have messed that up,  I'll let our tech guys know about this on Monday so they can look into it and get that fixed up because downloads 100% should show up on all 3 sites as they always have.

And yes, at least for the 11-12 years I was an admin here in the past, Renderotique was used for actual NSFW content checkouts,  but it was just an I-Frame type of thing, you were still "on" Renderotica or CGbytes but there was a mini area being pulled from CGbytes or Renderotique for the checkout, unlike now where it's a LOT more noticeable with diff color schemes and larger logos,  and custom "step by step" icons across the top of the page during the checkout process,  in the past it was a more stripped down version but I can assure you depending on the content in the cart Renderotique might have been used at the payment portion.

I'll also say, the way everything was always integrated I'd not be surprised if not many people even knew Renderotica was not actually a "store"  especially since it was always the most popular / used site out of the 3.

Is there any update on when payment processing might be restored?
