Hi there Meipe,


I know there's no reason for your products to support the Beta version of Daz, but wanted to report this anyway in case it's an early heads-up. I've just had to move to the 2026 Beta because I upgraded to a 5070 Ti which means I can no longer render using Daz 4. But I've just discovered the Mat Copy script in Golden Palace G9 throws an error when used in the Beta and doesn't work. This is the log message:

I tried selecting the G9 body, copying the mat, selecting the Golden Palace and pasting the mat, but that results in a mismatch in the shaders somewhere and the Golden Palace renders darker than the figure's body mat.


So, my workaround is to open the scene in Daz 4, use the Mat Copy script, which works fine, save and go back to the Beta to carry on!

I was also wondering if there is a new script for Material Copy for DS 2026 Beta?  I can't seem to find one after looking around and most of Meipe's footer links don't work...

The release of the D6 beta was way too early. It's still an alpha from my POV.
Before SDKs and scripts are really stabilized, it's relatively unusable.

Unfortunately as I mentioned before, I have to use the beta as the 5070 cards won't render using Daz 4.xx. So much as I'd prefer not to be using a beta, and It's a pain switching from version to version to prep figures that need geoshells and mat copies applied, then render the scene, but currently I have no other choice.

I did LOL very loudly this morning when I got the email from Daz. And then a little whoop of joy... hopefully Meipe will have the issue fixed in no time at all!

The Mat copy also doesn't work for 8.1, so my guess all of Meipe's products will have this issue

That's right~ That's what I did too~


So here's the question:
what's the point of Daz Studio 6? If you don't play NSFW, then of course it's useful. But for NSFW players, Daz Studio 6 is completely useless!

Yes, that's exactly what I also explained I was doing, in my post starting this thread: "So, my workaround is to open the scene in Daz 4, use the Mat Copy script, which works fine, save and go back to the Beta to carry on!"


It's not ideal, but it's a workaround.


And as to the question of "what's the point of Daz 6?" Well - again as I explained in my OP - owners of 50xx series Nvidia cards have no choice but to use it, as rendering doesn't work in Daz 4 with the new graphics cards!

And I can report that the results are absolutely faultless, as your customers have come to expect Meipe! I've tested the Golden Palace and Dicktator updates this morning on G8 and G9 female and male figures, and the new "2025+ Copy" Daz scripts work perfectly in the latest release build of Daz 6. It works fine for me, so I'm not sure about your issue.


If it's a geoshell problem (just hide the geoshells in the "Scene" tab to check), you may use a shell fix script:


CGbytes - Store - Universal-Shell-Fix


Renderotique - Store - Shell-Fix-V3


...or manually hide the bugged Breastacular surfaces of the geoshell in the "Parameters" tab.


It may be an UV map issue: select the breastacular graft, and in the "Surfaces" tab options, try to switch between UV sets.
