I've been trying to make a purchase for a while now.  I clicked on the item and am taken to the Renderotique store.  I'm logged in, put in in the cart, but can't check out because there are NO payment options.  Probably will lose my points.  What the hell?  Don't want to sell anything?  Sure vendors won't be happy about it.

Seems dbxxx gave the answer while I was napping, but yes at this time we do not have checkout for our NSFW products,  everything on CGbytes however can still be bought via it's checkout.  once we have more information from the audit process I will be giving updates here on the forums.

I'm super confused because this is the first time I saw the page renderotique.com. Until now I always purchased from renderotica.com (Except my 1st and last puchase that went through cgbytes for some reason).

I can understand the confusion, what happens is theres a header bar up at the top and the only thing that really changes is the site logo / name,  though I'm pretty sure the CGbytes checkout matches that site's colorscheme which is very diff from Renderotica and Renderotique.

But at any rate, depending on what you buy it will end with either paying CGbytes or Renderotique  and right now we are working on getting new processing for Renderotique so there is no checkout there (well no final step for payment type to be clear)

Hope that helps clear things up :)

I do have one more Question to clarify things. What Payment Methods have been available on the "Renderotique" site so far? Can someone explain what a Payment Service Provider for High-Risk Payments is? I discovered a few years ago that PayPal isn't available for adult Sites, Erotic or Pornographic Sites usually only offer Payment via Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard).

Is there a Company behind the Renderotica Site and the other two Sites? Like the one with the Poser Products? I haven't been here very long, so I'm not yet familiar with the Setup or the People involved. I don't want to disturb you any further. I wish you every Success.

1: what other thread? (there are multiple threads in multiple forums about this topic)

1.5: who are you asking about the OP of this thread, one of the repliers or myself?

2: Debit/Credit cards, checks (years ago) Store credit, Points and some others I'm prob forgetting about.  the stores have been running since 1999 ;)

2.5: High Risk processing just means you pay higher fees for the processor to handle the transactions, this type of processing is required for many things sold online not just adult content (I dropped a list in 2 of the other threads on this topic)

3: Yes there is a company behind all 3 sites and each site has it's own function so to speak

CGbytes: SFW store featuring 3D products for Daz and Poser (Also has community features like Renderotica)
Renderotique: NSFW store featuring 2D and 3D products for Daz and Poser (also features the SFW products as well)
Renderotica: Community site featuring artist studios, gallery, forums, contests etc, and displays "ads" for products from both stores.

Well, why post the items that can't be purchased?  That's just kind of ridiculous to go, "Here's something new, you just can't buy it!".

Very valid question, that has a pretty simple answer... well two answers really.

First off posting the items as they have passed testing and are ready for release keeps a backlog of releases from piling up, a vendors first 'promotion' of their products is the time they spend on the main page of various store catalogs, and if a backlog happens then those products get pushed to page 2 much faster and they loose eyeballs and potential sales.

Likewise because store releases are happening as normal but NSFW products can not be bought right now, we will be running special promos for those items that released during the downtime that could not be purchased once processing is back up and running (via blog posts, forum posts & social media posts for example)

Second, just because the checkout is not working at the moment doesn't stop anyone from browsing the catalogs and adding things to their wishlists, then, once checkout is up and running again those newly released products that could not be bought are sitting in wishlists ready to be added to carts.

I DID however pause the "Recent Release" promo blogs while the Renderotique checkout is down

Certain PAs better start looking for other sites to sell NSFW assets, or they will start losing revenue.

And not going to lie, its almost like you guys are just str8 up moving away from this totally.  What is taking so long to get this corrected?

Yeah if these PAs want to make money on what they are selling, they better start looking to other sites to sell, that allow NSFW being sold.

Updates were just posted yesterday, I have multiple threads running about this topic in both the public forums and the private vendor forums,  every question has been answered, nothing dodged or side stepped, in what way does it appear we are moving away from NSFW content?

Well for one, you guys are taking forever to get this fixed, is why.  Meanwhile, PAs that are selling assets that are not even really NSFW, but are classified as such, are gaining no money.  Just saying...

I understand the frustration, and nobody is happy about the current situation, especially vendors whose products are affected.

That said, the amount of time required to complete the processor approval and compliance process isn't something we can directly control. We are actively working through the requirements and providing updates as information becomes available, which as I mentioned in my prior reply we just posted updates yesterday.

Circling back to your original concern that we appear to be moving away from NSFW content, nothing that has been announced or communicated suggests that. The entire purpose of this process is to restore the proper processing needed to continue offering adult products going forward,  if we were moving away from NSFW content none of this would be happening.
