The payment processors (including paypal) took away their permissions to have Renderotica/CGBytes to contiune to sell NSFW material. It’s the same crackdown that hit Pateron, Itch and even Steam. And hearing that this happened a year ago, confirms that this happened around the same time as Itch.
Having misread and not investigated properly, I'm a little more caught up now, but wow, what a cluster. Thanks for the update though! Hope it can get resolved soon so we can go back to normal.

At this time until new high risk processing is acquired NO NSFW can be purchased.

Nothing has ever been able to be "Bought" through Renderotica, Renderotica has always only been a community site (forums, galleries, artist studio, blogs etc)
Products from both CGbytes and Renderotique were shown as "ads" and depending what was bought you'd be routed to either CGbytes or Renderotique for checkout.
All of it has to do with processing 'rules', things that are considered 'high risk' can not be sold without the proper high risk processing, however you can also sell normal things using high risk processing.
This is why adult products can not be on CGbytes, but SFW products can be featured on Renderotique.
Then WHY was it being sold under CGBytes before the new guard took over? All i was told was they were using CGBytes as a loophole to get around the NSFW content rules that the payment processors were cracking down on.
While only the 3DX comics were being sold through Renderotique, not the DAZ/Poser content.
I’m now guessing that was a lie by the old guard.
I won't try to speak for the prior team, but it was a "loophole" indeed, HOWEVER it was a "loophole" that if ever discovered it would have caused ALL of our sites and stores to be blacklisted and NO ONE would ever process for us, and the sites would havr to be shut down because nothing could be sold on it at all.
WHY they did not secure proper processing after they lost the prior I can not say, WHY they did not inform anyone during the transfer / changeover I can not say.
It honestly doesn't matter why the made the choices they made, what matters is we discovered it and are taking the proper steps to fix things, acquire the proper processing and make sure that all sites and stores can stay up for years to come.

This is just NOT correct at all, and the truth has been explained multiple times in this thread, the announcement thread and elsewhere in the forums.
Paypal does NOT process for adult products, so there are no permissions for them to take away, IF that was the case you'd not be able to use PayPal right now on CGbytes (which you can)
This also has nothing to do with the watchdog groups in AUS and the UK that went after Video games, and video game platforms.
That was a money grab to be honest, they went after the largest platforms and threatened to charge then fees per title if they did not comply, fees that would have literally been in the billions because of how many users, titles etc those platforms have. our sites are nowhere near that ballpark and were not anywhere close to the "radar" of those groups.
Many diff types of products require high risk processing in order to be sold online (and IRL actually) such as...
CBD/hemp, pharmaceuticals, tobacco, e-cigarettes, and alcohol, Adult entertainment, online dating, cryptocurrency, and digital software downloads, Nutraceuticals, multilevel marketing (MLM), credit repair, and debt collection, Airlines, cruises, event tickets, and travel agencies, Negative-option billing, recurring memberships, and free-trial offers. ALL because these types of things end up dealing with the most chargebacks, fraud billing and "I bought by mistake" type things.
I hope that clarifies things a bit better.

To be clear, what you quoted and replied to is not correct.
"The payment processors" It was 1 single processor that the prior team lost and did not replace
"Including Paypal" PayPal does not allow adult content
"Took away their permissions to have Renderotique/CGbytes to continue to sell NSFW material" CGbytes does NOT nor has it ever featured NSFW material, it is our "Family Friendly store catalog", secondly there is no "permissions" you pay a higher % per sale to a high risk processor in order to sell certain types of products, goods and or services.
"It’s the same crackdown that hit Pateron, Itch and even Steam" that "crackdown" was a few "Watchdog" groups from AUS and the UK that went after the largest video game platforms basically tried and failed to get laws passed that would equal billions of dollars in fines to those companies if they did not comply. It was a poor cash grab attempt, and the companies on their own removed content (then put it back up last I knew) none of them lost processing. and adult content is still thriving on all of those platforms to this very day (Minus *deleted*, but they do that themselves, they allow then ban adult content more times then I can count)
So... the actual truth of the matter is: over a year ago, the prior team lost the high risk processor that allowed the sale of NSFW content, they did not replace it, they did not tell anyone it was gone during the transition / changeover to this team, we found out the processor was gone and now we're taking the steps to get new high risk processing. as soon as that's done and new processing is in place everything will be able to be bought again, for now ONLY CGbytes has a working checkout and ONLY SFW content can be sold.

A sort of related issue.
Now when I click on a wishlisted item, it takes me straight to the CGBytes page.
I cannot use points on the checkout there, also I don't have an account.

All sites use the same username and pass, login to CGbytes with your Klutz username and password.
As for using points, try that once you are logged in, if that's still not an option once you are logged in please let us know.

SFW only. Can no longer purchase NSFW material, until it gets solved (if it ever does knowing the previous crackdowns on other sites)
Everything will be alright.

another question. when everything comes back, is the PayPal option going be removed for NSFW since you said they don't allow NSFW content and will be credit/debit only? if so that's a really bad move since many nsfw purchases are fine if you don't openly mention it in like an invoice or the purchase item (ie the shorthand/censored names work). this behavior is EXACTLY why adult sales sites need to have high-risk processing, and its associated extra audits and protections. Because people buy-and-lie, and the CC company has to eat the loss.

So, can we pay with credit cards now? PayPal isn't supported, but can credit cards be used to pay for NSFW products?
