I really need to pay more & better attention to this place, but as they say.. better late than never.

A very recognizable trope (and maybe somewhat of a cliche?) but nevertheless I can't help but fully agree that such stuff can be arousing as heck. Especially when experienced for the first time...
I was in my 20's when hentai started to hit the scene, often generally referred to as "manga". We're talking stuff like Legend of the Overfiend, definitely a classic of its own. So here's a funny fun fact: back then (90's) the local Dutch news even did an segment about it, warning the audience about "violent and disturbing Japanese cartoons". They didn't show anything really explicit but what they did show... definitely fueled the fantasy ;)
So I managed to nab Overfiend on VHS and here's the thing: a ton of sexual stuff, both consentual as well as enforced, but much to my surprise there was also a pretty solid story around it. But it definitely got me into tentacle stuff as well.

Exactly. Or as I like to call it: the "damsel in distress" trope. I can definitely see what you're getting at, and I feel the same way. Now imagine a tentacle with thorns? eeew... lol, that was one of my issues...
Tentacles are one thing, but what are they connected to? Ever seen Little Shop of Horrors? Story about a nerd discovering & feeding a venus fly trap, and the plant becomes so big that it can also eat animals and ...humans. The guy meets a girl, and of course the girl eventually ends up inside the plant (but gets rescued).
That got me to collect flesh eating plant props and figures :P And this way I could even keep the clothes off, making it even more menacing.
Got a nice collection right now, but one of the plants doesn't merely have vines, but vines with thorns on them. And I can tell you this: ropes, vines and tentacles are seriously tricky to pose!
Oh well, nice post OP!
