Hello !


 


It might be a DAZ environment problem as I've seen no-one here with this problem.


MAT Copy script for cream queen has a strange behavior : see the screenshot. It happens for every character I have, here is an illustration with Genesis 8 and genesis 8.1 models. They don't have any other graft or shell on them.

When I compare the skin surfaces, il seems not everything is copied, whern I copy skin surface on shell it makes strange render as UV sets are not the same.

Ive noticed that with Daz 4.23 that Breastacular shell and goldenpalace in V8 no longer play nice together .. you can have one or the other but the fix shell no longer seems to work .. Anyone else having this problem ? All my v8 figures that I have already saved as a scene with both shells seem to be still working.. I usually add Brestacular first then golden palace ..when you click on the v2 to give her vagina some color your breastacular goes opeque ...in the past clicking on the golden palace shell and then shell fix has always brought breastacular back ...not anymore..

Looks to me like the MAT copy script isn't copying the shader information over. My guess is you're using PBRSkin based characters, and the MAT copy script is applying as Iray Uber. If it is the issue, just change the base shader on the graft to PBRSkin, keep in mind though if you see the Shell as Iray Uber you need to keep the shell that way, as PBRSkin doesn't contain opacity, which is needed for the nipple overlays on the shell.


 


Another issue you could be facing, is if you applied translucency to the skin, it doesn't always copy over the translucency with MAT copy scripts, so in this case you'll have to manually copy the figure torso surface to the Cream Queen Torso surface,

Daz messed with how shells work or updated scripting with 4.23 and it broke a lot of stuff, and it will take time for vendors to fix things, but Meipe has already worked tirelessly to bring out an updated Shell Fix that works with 4.23

The photo i posted is basics genesis 8 and 8.1, that' is why I don't understand the behavior. Plus, it does the same effet on every model I have. All of these models are Iray Uber I'm not using PBR.


Here is a render where I use the "manual copy" of the surface + moving UV Set to "Medium areolas"  (right only manual copy, left both)

We can see it is better! but the arms doesn't work (little square near the armpits) and the bottom breasts are still weird color.


The very problem is when I'm using another character with different UVs. Here is the basics apply of the shell (two models identical)

Everything is copied from the original torso surface except the UV set. But even without the UV set (left), it doesn't work. I add the information that under the geoshell, the graft has the good color, but no nipples.


I really don't understand it.

The little square is due to how Meipe did Cream Queen, there is a surface that uses the Arms surface rather than Torso/Body, so for that surface you need to copy from Arms Surface to the Cream Queen surface.


 


You mentioned using 8.1, are you using the 8.1 MAT Copy script? Here it is if you hadn't grabbed it. With 8.1 they changed from Torso to Body surfaces, and while most things seem to work fine with the change there were some scripts it messed up and required the script be updated to reflect the use of Body rather than Torso surfaces.

For the square, the arms has been copied but still shows as different colors as the rest :/


Yes I use the 8.1 since the 8 wouldn't even work asking for selecting a G8F. I have the problem with G8F and G8.1F with the two different scripts.

I've tried many things and the closest to something satisfying I got is the following :


- Load graft, shell and MAT copy script on model


- Load shell fix ON THE CQ SHELL (which makes disappear the weird colored breasts)


- Change the UV set of the GRAFT to "Medium Areolas UVs"


This is it. But it is not perfect as it doesn't load only the areola, but the entire brast which makes a breaking line between the two rows on the skin.


 


I think the product is just broken.


 


The only way for having something almost okay is after loading shell fix on CQ shell, using headlights. But you cannot have original nipples with it.

Have you downloaded the latest updated zip? in an early version two files were missing that could cause this very bug...

Yes I did and... checking out I found these files in the zip, I have no fucking idea why but they didn't unzip correctly, I had to change the name of the zip. So it was my computer.


I'm sorry thinking your product was broken, while the solution was so dumb. Thank you so much for your support !
