Ey everyone!

So... during the last months I came into contact with several elven characters made by our own Ailyaf Learning (product overview right here), but all within my role as a product tester. Yesterday my gf reminded me that testing a product surely wasn't the same as actually purchasing one?

Well, challenge accepted ;)  So I nabbed yet another character (and some other goodies) and it had the exact same effect on me, I was immediately enjoying the characters looks, the presets and what not...

As such... I figured I'd share.

Sooo, what are we looking at here?  Well, obviously my selection of elven maidens, courtesy of Ailyaf Learning. Just using default'ish presets, from left to right, and front to back:

  • Alethia Genades
  • Androsia Gardenia
  • Elwyd Granita
  • Fara Gardenia
  • Filo Garini
  • Ivanka Grizella
  • Ivona Ginela
  • Skyla Gayatri

About the characters

Now, the reason why I really enjoy this series is because all characters follow the same standard. Every character you see above is provided with a nice selection of material presets: a light and darker toned skin, scilera presets (normal eyes and slightly bloodied eyes (just the veins)), eye (= iris) & lip presets and... makeup presets.

Yet no overlap, well hardly. That is, sometimes lip colors might match but all the makeup presets are pretty different and - in my opinion - really fitting the general 'vibe' of the character.

If you check my render above you'll notice that several characters have a different expression on them.. they look different: some seem stern, others smile, and some merely have a neutral expression on them. Thing is: their makeup presets somewhat emphasizes on that, at least that's my impression of course.

Maybe also interesting to know: the use of elven ears is purely optional. So if you just like the character but don't care about their elven heritage... then all you have to do is not apply the ear preset, and you're all set. Same for the nipples by the way... I enjoy seeing nipples on my characters so I always enable the preset (or.. I have to apply the morph manually myself) but that is also purely optional.

Also notice the public hair?  All included. It's not a prop but a texture, but I hope you can agree that it looks very nice and realistic.

And noticed the similar last names and thus - generic - similar looks? ;)

All in all...  if you enjoy elven maidens... then I can't help but wonder if you might not enjoy some of these figures as well.

Thanks for reading, I hope this could give you some useful impressions.
