Hello,

I was wondering is there a way of using the geometry editor to change the resolution level of b-tacular from base to high? I saw a comment on a Youtube video saying you could but they did not actually say how it was done.

Thank you

Other than using the built in Sub-Division features of Daz Studio (And I'm not sure if Sub-D won't break the graft feature, as I know half a dozen tools in Daz Studio will break the graft feature if the tools are active ie Geometry Editor, Mesh Grabber) to up the resolution of the figure and graft, legally no.

Creating a high resolution graft to work with a HD version of the figure would require access to the HD Toolkit (to my knowledge the only legal way to get Daz Studio to export more than the base resolution figure for use in another program) which Daz keeps locked for the use of their PAs.

So barring use of an illegal workaround, there isn't a way for 3rd party characters or grafts to be made that will work with high resolution versions of the figure.

And Daz's stance on the release of the HD Toolkit, for third party vendors or advanced users, has been "You don't need it"

thanks 2 users thanked BrotherHades for this useful post.

I see, I did not know all of that so thank you for the information. I've just been trying to export my characters to Blender and for the HD export all the grafts need to be HD and the original comment on the youtube video I was watching just said you could do it in the geometry editor. But if there is no legal way of doing it then I guess I'll have to do with the non HD export.

Thank you anyway.
