Heads Up, Daz Studio 4.21 is now live

You can now download and install Daz Studio 4.21 in the DIM. Genesis 9 starter essentials aren't available yet it seems. But the update is there to get.

Im gonna be 9 kinds of pissed if G9 is free after I paid $89 bucks for it. You have paid for V9 character bundle . G9 is the free base figure.

You bought the Victoria 9 HD Intro Bundle, not Genesis 9.
But you can return it.

G9 isn't up just yet, but the file you'll be looking for in DIM (or your preferred download method) should be Genesis 9 Starter Essentials.
It will have the core figure and a few super basic goodies like previous starter essentials.
It's anyones guess what day they actually drop it, but I'd expect it to be soon, like within the next week.

If this is the thing ya bought it is Victoria version of G9 Basically the Vicky morph and a few things they aren't showing us yet. I'm pretty much just waiting for the head/body/expression sets, so I can start doing sets with. As everyone else has stated, it is just their flagship character set for the free base. The bundle might include all the morph packs too, but if it doesn't I'ld just return it if you aren't getting it for the Victoria aspects. They weren't too clear on the introduction special reveal video that this wasn't Vic 9, and their recent actions have been showing some deceptive marketing, whether it be intended or not.Not showing what your gonna get is kinda shady to begin with. That only works for grab bags.

They are probably gonna drop after Daz closes for the weekend. They are nortorious for this.

Anyone else having login to Daz service problems like DIM? Maybe they are getting ready to drop G9. Seems like they are with all the problems just now arising, just before Daz closes for the day. If it drops we called it.

DIM was messed up for me today for a few hours, both on W10 and W11. Got fixed around 3ish pacific time with an update to DIM.

It is easy. What is so difficult to click on an install. exe?
NOBODY, really nobody needs DIM or "smart" Content.

I use DIM to check for new releases of Studio. Also sometimes I have to load plugins with it for utilities to work in Daz even though I've downloaded them via the inside Daz program.
Also can get into it now, so if you were having trouble logging in, try now.

DIM and Smart Content lists all available updates of software and products and do all the downloading and installing in one click.
Much more convenient than going DAZ/My Account/Product Library, browse and download installers, install them and delete them, even if you have a list of updated products.
That said, I use DAZ Connect for everything except software and plugins. DIM for software/plugins and Smart Content for updates and having presets ready for the selected figure without browsing the Content Library. DAZ STUDIO USER SINCE 2006

Totally off topic, but oh thank God. I love your work and really respect you, Maxx is still my favorite male character, but I do the same. I started after connect came around, so I'm not a true old timer, and all I see are people talking bad about connect and smart content. I like them and use them a lot. But yes, DIM is needed for the plugins, ext, and I tend to install big environments and stuff with it.

As to people not being able to log in, it's a known issue that has been plaguing people for a week or two. Daz is trying to fix it, but it's like one of their Jenga towers where they have to pull a block from one side to build the top, and now another side is getting messed up because of that. If they don't fix it, send in a ticket. They are trying though.

I'm in now. Seems they got it fixed. At least for now It was a mess yesterday. Can log in and all now. Did have a ticket and was elaborating in the forums there as to specifics, which in all things was odd as hell. My wife's account could log in, mine couldn't. The only difference being she left using Daz end of V4 era. I was just posting for those still not able to log in as a heads up to go try now.
