I don't think artists are tagging it correctly. I do sometimes fall into the how do I tag this correctly category. 2 or more women isn't necessarily gay, is it a female pinup if there are more than 1 person in the scene, does group imply orgy group sex or more than 2 people in a scene? That kind of stuff. I get the violence body fluids tags easy enough. Sometimes I just leave the genre blank cuz I don't quite know how-to classy it.

I'm not sure what curated means, is that somebody actually approving an image before it goes live? Sheeeeit, that's a full time job and that person would be under so much stress from "arteests" that they would bow out soon. I think this is kind of one of those "if it ain't broken don't fix it situations.

Also... believe me, if they switch up the site for something more snazzy or different, there will be endless complaints, so much that it sucks the life right out of you, been there, done that.

For those that aren't into the 3d erotica for the last 22 years, there was one single website and one newsgroup that dealt with the 3d art and that site was FAMILY FRIENDLY and believe me, there was some flaming going on about censorship. Out of that situation Renderosity was born, and when that site got all higglidy-pigglidy with censorship issues, the folk that created that website created this website and its been the last refuge where all folk are welcome. There is absolutely some bad stuff in the gallery, but I've seen some of that bad stuff slowly turn into decent art over time. No pedo, no real aminals, thems the rules and that's good enough for me.

Yes curating would be someone who reviews every picture if it is according to the expected quality. Looking for composition, technical work, and stuff like that before it is approved. So basicaly what an art curator does for a gallery in RL too. And yes that would probaply be more then only one full time job.

This is what I was suggesting, something apart from the main gallery, that would continue as is.

I don't have a problem with the captcha stuff- its pretty commonplace at this point.  I spent many years just going to the site and looking about every so often but not really interacting with anyone or posting anything.  So after years of lurking I decided to contribute a bit and hopefully my stories brighten someones day out here. If nothing else it gives me something to do with my spare time. Haha!

And I know we all have different things we look for when we go to sites like these.  It'd be awesome if more people interacted in the forums but it is what it is.  This thread is doing pretty well for interactions it seems, so its obvious there's a group who really likes what goes on at this site and wish for it to improve and continue on.

For my part, I like getting new ideas from people that like what I do and I'd bet that each and every creator who posts pics and vids and stuff loves getting comments form people who enjoy their stuff.  I know I treasure every comment I get to stuff I post.

I don't think "curating" for what some feel quality is would be a good step for this site's gallery. Set up a special gallery for the elite? Who would get to decide what was fit to be in this elitist area? That would shun some of the newer members who may just be getting started, and most likely lead to even more people moving away. Excluding people just because someone or some group doesn't feel that a peice of art fits their personal taste has never been a good idea.

There's some competition out there currently in a site that's only a few years old, and I see a lot of people that used to post in the gallery here posting there while those images don't get posted here. Should be trying to bring those people back, not make them steer clear even more.

The great thing about the gallery here is there has never been some strict guidelines on what can be posted as per quality. If a thumbnail doesn't suit your fancy then don't open it up to full size, just keep moving.

The filters have been wonky for a few years now, I've brought it up a couple times and gave up bringing it up again. I do agree some don't use the filters properly when uploading an image. I still find still images in the animation gallery. But it's not so bad that it makes the gallery no worth looking through.
