She is one of Illusions-Designs characters, and it looks like she is still available at their store.

OK I found her.
Couple of newbie questions. Is Victoria a different body type than G8? Are they compatible? or forever separate?

a little research answered my own question. from the sites Victoria section. They are fully compatible with Daz Studios.

Fully compatible is true.

Victoria 4 is multiple generations old by this time.
In the meantime, we've had Genesis, Genesis 2, Genesis 3, and now we are at Genesis 8/8.1.

Each generation requires an ecosystem of tools and tricks to make them into fully capable figures for use in 3d erotic art. There's no real shortcut for that, although the barriers between Genesis 3 and Genesis 8 are lower.

If you wish to invest in Victoria 4, you can ask those people how she works. She'll require a whole ecosystem to make her sing, but the knowledge and tools exist. They are mostly kind of old now, but they exist.

Honestly, you're better off going to Daz, learning how to do Daz from the New Users forum, and then slowly gravitating towards 3d erotica. It's an expensive hobby.

Shoot. That means I cannot use G8 body morphs on her, is that correct?

Is there a list of models for sale with G8? Something of that quality?

Just a friendly FYI Before you fill your hard drive with old freebies and cheapies.
Timeline Short version.....

********** Moses parts the Sea *************

Poser Characters (Dawn, Victoria, Others)(V3)(V4) = OBSOLETE
Daz Introduction (V4.2) = OBSOLETE

********** Jesus is born and Daz Creates a NEW FILE STRUCTURE - DAZ Characters and Their Compatibilities With G8.1F ************

G1(V5) = First Universal Character, Some tight clothes can be auto fit but will need retexturing to modernize... fit may be off due to the ungendered figure, other aspects aren't worth the time.
G2F(V6) = Some tight clothes can be auto fit but will need retexturing to be modernized, Few Hairs can useable with a shader product especially if you are needing background characters.

********** Ideally the farthest you should go back if using G8.1F **********

G3F(V7) = Poses can be transferred with free corrective posing (T pose to A pose), Dforce Hair and Clothing is introduce and auto fits well and have higher res Iray textures, discounted G3F character morphs can be transferd via Xmorphs Transfer, most everything works with G8 except posing without correction, some V7 UVs (Skin) wont work, Iray Introduction during this character, Shoes don't work well due to posing.
G8F(V8) = Almost fully compatible, Exceptions: Facial expressions and UVs (Skins) have been upgraded with G8.1 (Skins will work but the UV must be set for older figure)
G8.1F = Higher res mesh, Different UVs with PBR shader, facial expression enhancements, addition of an eye tear layer node.

********** SPACEBASE / CYBERPUNK DISTOPIA / NUCLEAR WASTELAND - FUTURE **********

G9F = Likely to come out with introduction of Daz Studio 5 currently in works estimated production release 12 to 24 months from now. New Studio (likely coded in Python not QT) said to be backwards compatible with current files but not plugins. Character compatibilities with G9 unknown (Users are reported to be granted option to continue with DS 4 versions beyond transitional period)

That model is a V4.2 model, which is not compatible with Genesis 8.

You CAN do a morph transfer to Genesis 8 via a manual process. I'm not sure how successful it will be from V4.2. This walks you through the process from Genesis 3 to Genesis 8, but it's theoretically similar from any older Daz-compatible model to a newer model.
https://www.daz3d.com/fo...orphs-to-genesis8-female

(The texture set? Mostly SOL on that. Even with a product that fits the V4.2 UV to the Genesis 8 platform, you won't be able to take advantage of Genesis 8 anatomy props because the layout of the V4.2 textures will be all wrong. There's virtually no reason to use Genesis 2 and earlier textures on a Genesis 8 figure, IMO.)

List of models for sale? Usually, the big Daz stores will have a Filter to select Genesis 8 only.

I would look at the bigger storefronts at Daz and 'Rosity first.

Let's start simple. I make one recommendation.
Mousso is probably a good (best?) baseline. Quality figures, and pretty prolific in offerings (including a diverse set of female figures). Almost always with a Daz genitalia texture set (if you are using that genital prop).

Search on her name in the Daz Store, then use the search filters to select "Genesis 8". Pretty much everyone recognizes Mousso as one of the higher quality artists at the Daz site. (Mousso also has some older figures at 'Rosity.)

Then, as you get familiar with the other artists, branch out from there.

@Cheesymaid. Good advice and it matches with my research. I won't be able to do what I want with Victoria models. wah.
But mousso looks like a good place to start. Thanks again
