Eya everyone!

Hope everyone is doing fine?; I am kinda in my "fanboy modus" because I didn't only grab some really good stuff from RO this week, I also managed to work out a rough draft for my story... with a decent ending (no promises on quality! 😁).

I grabbed my stuff around Monday, I finally got to try it out at the time of writing (around Wednesday) and I am really happy. I got an "alien penis", a "horny fairy" and of course... a girl platter to make sure that everyone is comfortable. (not real names, many teases, and maybe best ignored?)  Not gonna mention that my avatar character will soon be dealing with all this 😉

Now, it's not my intent to "talk down" on stuff. You're not gonna find hate here because some of the Daz artists are truly something else, and there's some really impressive stuff to find "over there". However...  Do not blindly trust bundles y'all!

While working on my preps (getting tons of stuff from my RO library into the smart contents) I figured I'd also look at "other store" and while they do have some fun things I couldn't help focus on a few bundles which were still in my favorites list.

Don't trust Daz bundles!

Now sure, plenty of bundles will give you a fair price. No arguments. But please look at the individual items too (and their price!) before you buy? This goes double during discount periods which is...  almost always these days (at least it seems as much to me).

Seriously: I had 4 (!!) bundles in my favorites list on the Daz website which all had a discount. But I decided I'd look into the individual products too, not even to check prices or such but mostly to see if I would like all stuff (I don't buy poses for example because I think they limit my creativity). YAH...  lo and behold: after 2 items I was wondering WTF? Because the bundle was around $31 and with 2 out of 3 I didn't even reach $15. Was one scenery focusing around a rock going to be worth $30?

Nope!

You'd be better off buying the individual parts vs. the bundle.

So then I checked the other bundles in my wishlist. Guess what?.....

I think the Daz store is heading towards a seriously slippery slope where I can't help but start hinting at possible "flawed" sales mechanics. Dare I say that I think they're borderline close to blatant misconduct?!.

See... sure, I can deal with promo pictures which show you an awesome scene while failing to highlight anything that is what you're buying. While you're staring at the bikini babe (!!! WAKE UP!!) you fail to notice that you're buying into a piece of rock with no revealing clothes, no props, and to add insult to injury: it does have a nice pose preset which is useless without the vibes (like clothes, hair presets, and such).

But this..  this is crossing the line for me. Charging up to $10 - $20 extra because you buy a bundle vs. the individual products?

Seriously you guys... be careful over there!

I got fed up over this, I'm pissed when I found out (before hitting "buy") and I cleaned out my wishlist and I think I'm gonna go premium right now again * because this site is SO much better on the ethics.

* Done!

The bundles are separate items on their own. Individual items each have a different amount of discount % during sales, some items get heavily discounted. Bundles have their own. This can happen on Steam as well for instance.

Bundles are a way to save money in some cases,  like when all products in it have the same amount of discount, usually on the introductory stage, or when they have a discount on their own. The bundle's price is not necessarily meant to be lower than the sum of all its items in all cases. I think it's the buyer's responsibility to check what they are spending on, especially when there are sales going on.

Fortunately, there is a 30-day money-back guarantee on everything in the store, no questions asked, even for testing purposes, in the payment option of your choice in case you made a mistake. Something the "ethical" store doesn't have.
