I got my bad tooth cut out on Thursday, and have been kind of out of it since. I got some really poweful pain meds and a strong med to keep down infection and swelling. Today is the first day when I sort have felt like myself. Hopefully by the beginning of next week, I'll be back to normal. Got to many things to do.....

I remember having dental work when I was a teen. Wisdom teeth pulled. When the novocaine wore off hours later, my teeth were throbbing horribly. I popped one percocet pill and about 10 minutes later I felt like I was floating in my recliner, it was so cool and relaxing. I looked forward to the next time I used it to see if it would do it again, it never did. All pain meds have that effect on me, the first pill is great, then no effect the next time. :-( Oh well.

My wife used to be a dental nurse, now she will not accept anaesthetic under any circumstances. She told me a tale once how the dentist was telling her about this new fireplace he was having fitted as they put the patient under. When he came around he screamed "Fire!" and jumped out of the window, breaking both legs, poor chap Frustrated wanna-be artist finding solace in computer assisted drawing and painting.

Be glad you don't have a mouth full of them, plus with my frequent toothaches (Just got over a bad abscess tooth with only ibuprofen to help me out!) I wish that I could get them all cut out and get dentures!
