I am running into an issue where I add clothes to a character that has male genitals (doesn't matter which product really). After I add clothes, the area around the testicles flatten (looks like they were smashed).

What is causing this, and more importantly, is there a way to fix it? I want to be able to hide the gentials when the character is wearing clothing and show it when they are not.

What you're seeing is Studio trying to conform to a hole in the mesh. When you attach a graft, it replaces that portion of the figure mesh. When you hide the graft, the cloth item won't see it, but the missing mesh on the figure is still missing, so it sees that hole. Here's my workaround:

When I create a character that I plan to use for several or many images, and some will be clothed, some nude, I create two versions of that character. I save my full characters with hair, grafts, accessories, etc. as a 'scene preset'. Then, I'll save another one without genitals. If a penis bulge is needed, there are several bulge morphs available for pay, or you can download these for free from SP3D: https://drive.google.com/file/d/16jVQyJgJWVEsxtWeLGqGbeLfYwqs7A-S/view

The cloth item will conform and drape to the bulge, not a hole in the mesh, and you'll get the look you're going for. Hope this helps!

Thank you, it does help!

I was afraid I would need copies of specific characters

It's actually pretty easy to integrate into your workflow.

A quick alternative is to shrink the genitalia so that it doesn't protrude and interfere with the clothing. I scaled the G8M genitalia down to 75% and the briefs and trousers I conformed worked fine. I also did the same with Dicktator, had to use a lot more dials, and got the same result. As there is no longer a hole in the mesh it doesn't distort.

Now, I have been followjg either routes myself. But, wouldn't it be great if Meipe could introduce a "Fit in Pants" preset/slider that dials the goodies down to zero and back to the current pose/shape. So, one could dial in and out as required without the needs to have one charavcter loaded and another bare?

Some male clothing does have tenting morphs. I generally remove the geograft completely when the character is in clothing and add it back when it can be seen. It doesn't take all that long to do that. Just make a duplicate folder for the naughty parts and put it in a quick to get to directory in your library tree. You don't have to go with the default location, you can put those anywhere. It's a lot quicker then loading in a new character. If you vary between different genital sets (I do, I have four different ones I use) it helps to put which one you are using in the character name on the scene tab so you don't have to guess.

Alternately if you don't want to fiddle with the settings, you can un-parent and un-fit the genitals for a particular character, and save those as a subset rather than the whole character. Then add them back into the scene when needed and refit to the character. It's still quicker then adding the whole character.
They make clothes for V4? Why??
