Putting the penis on my character, hitting apply material works.. then when I try to put on the shell my pelvis is invisible. It's really , really frustrating because I have no documentation to help. The forums are empty.. I am not 100% on what exactly shells do so editing something isn't something I feel comfortable with.

Can you share some more info? What character are you using? Do you use some other geografts on the same character(like add on breasts)?
Shell adds another layer of doubled geometry over the original g8f mesh + gegrafts mesh. It can eliminate the seam or add color depends on whar the creator of the geograft set it to do.

With that said I never had the whole pelvis disappearing.

A screenshot of the problem could help also. Apart from that please make sure you are using the latest version of Daz studio.

Hey, Thanks for the reply, Sorry for the lack of information. I use micheal 8 with a few shape presets to get my own type of body. I don't use no addons on the character. Its just his base , I select 1. it goes on then 2 to apply. then 3 for shell then I use your HD on the shell. If I hide the shell the pelvis returns btw. but without the mat. I am really not sure whats going on either tbh.

Try clicking on the shell in your scene pane and then look in "parameters" for "mesh offset". It's set to 0.0020, try setting it to 0.0050 or more and see if that helps.

That worked, Thank you very much. https://i.gyazo.com/ba60...6f8c26b9d4f3500c1e0a.png , I am guessing the seams are gonna be like that and I have to photoshop or something. Btw , When I change the penis size using the parim provided why does it inflate the centre, LIke this https://i.gyazo.com/69b3...5a439111cd5891bc021.png, Many thanks again.

Glad it worked. The seam is hard to eliminate for any given character at once but you have HDM so try to find the one that suits the best. As for scaling the given sliders under XY's root scale it uniformly but any bone can be scaled separately. So I'm not sure which one you scaled. Try using the sliders under XY-parameters-actor.
