I am familiar with DAZ and want help understanding of how to make an erotic scene.
Would love to find a tutorial as a walk through of making your first erotic scene with DAZ. Would someone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Heya SS,
Dunno if there are really any tutorials out there about setting up erotic scenes. Most people here are self taught.
Where you start with a scene is determined in part by how well you know the program. How good are you at pose and lighting?
Also composition basics such as visual movement, center of interest as well as use of texture and contrast come into play. These are things that are picked up as you progress.
Personally I’d say if you know how to use the program and have done some portraits and pin-ups to get warmed up, then just think about what adult video material it is you like to view and try recreating part of a scene you enjoyed.
Good luck!

Thank you - I will pose a few scenes and then work towards animation.

My 2 cents ...
Take a look at the Gallery and the images/series that generate the most views and likes. That provides an indicator of what viewers like and find stimulating. For me, images that tell a "story" are most compelling. Bur I'd avoid a series of images that are simply frames in a movie each image should stand on its own. I'd also avoid images that lack backgrounds as those just tend to be just showing how the models can be bent. Closer is better than wide, far off scenes. Closer images can convey emotion and the central theme of the image, whereas wider scenes just show off backgrounds.

Although I do not use daz Poses are Poses regardless of the program. And from what I hear the bones of a DAZ mesh are many to provide you with more realistic poses.
That being said... I would splurge on a few erotic pose sets that are for sale here in the store.
Use these as a guide to create your own and then store them in whatever way DAZ stores poses.
I agree with the post above. about closer being better
If you are going to create a comic then take a look at comic life by Plasq. they have a free trial version to check out and then you take it from thee.
Bets of luck

Just remember, you can't please everybody, so you got to please yourself. You are the director, you call the shots, you make what YOU want to see.

I totally agree with the comments above. It really helps to have some kind of story, or motivation for an image you are creating. I've only been doing this for a few months (dang Covid lockdown) and I find it much easier to come up with a scene if there is a story, even something simple.

Create a rough story board.. even major[ producers of film use them.. Kudo's if you even add a plot twist, this will make reading your story along with stunning visuals all that more appealing.. occasionally I get feedback from someone who said I could not put it down till I finished it.. And that is what you must strive to do..
It will take time but as DAVO said you must please yourself first because only then can you lay your pen name to toe work Who knows what lurks in the hearts of perverted artist.... The Shado Knows

Other than experimenting a bit with using genital props (even free ones are good for basic stuff), the only thing really necessary is to pose or animate a subject you personally find very interesting and sexy. Definitely start with single frame renders. Until you get a feel for how the various parts of the character can move, and how they can't move, you will only frustrate yourself animating anything. Once you get a few single frame renders into your gallery, try a few related single-frame renders with a consistent story among them. After you get a storyboard sequence you like, you can move up to animating. I agree with Shadoman, it's best to start animating with a commercial animated set. Many of them now are based on motion capture video, and are really quite excellent. Tweaking the commercial animation to remove poke-through, sliding feet, and other common problems will be challenging at first, but keep trying. Once you have customized a commercial animation to your satisfaction, you are good to go. The important thing is to please yourself, and have fun doing the renders. Happy animating!
