I apologize if this is a silly mistake but I have been having issues when adding the shell.

When the GoldPalace Gen, Shell, and Material Copy is used, I get the issue where the gen area is not properly lit and comes as a base shadowed area regardless of the rest of the body. It also causes the Breastacular object to go completely white. This only occurs if I apply the shell and everything seems to work fine if I forgo the shell.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Try to use the latest shell fix script with the shell selected in the scene:

Otherwise, you can hide the white surfaces manually, see pics attached.

The strange shadows may be a bug of DS 4.12 IRAY, try to update DS to the latest version or to use DS 4.11.

Thank you for the help, however the Shell fix unfortunately did not fix the issue. I will see if I using 4.11 will work though I am not particularly fond of going back a version.

Specifically the issue is seen below during the IRAY preview.

Thank You

Even that this post is quite old... I want to tell you that

a) the problem occurs with "interactive" mode in draw settings, not in photoreal. So it's not really a problem, it's just a feature of interactive

b) the problem occurs if more than one shell is used, like a dirt shell etc. Then the genital is turned white. As me being a newbie I didn't know that the shell goes over the whole body and... yes, you can switch off different body areas. So your post was really helpful. Thanks!
