Basic Questions from a total noob regarding golden palace

Hello and thank your for your time.
So Golden Palace is intended to work on the base g8f figure, does that mean it will not work out of the box on g8f based models on the daz store like for example "Sue Character and Hair for Genesis 8 Female" or does this just mean it will not work for say some genesis 3 based character?
In the requirements for golden palace, victoria 8 is listed, does this mean it will only work if i have victoria 8 from the daz store, or does this mean only some functionalities are not available?
Sry if this questions seem stupid to you, but i literally started researching two days ago and are totally hyped, but i just lack a bit of knowledge and i dont want to purchase things left and right that then wont work in the way i want them to.

GP will work with base G8F and just about any character out there. If you want to use it on G3F, there is a version in Meipe's store for that.

You don't need to have V8 to use it, but it works fine with that character as well. You will have full functionality regardless of which character you are using. Keep in mind, some highly morphed figures may give weird results, though.

I'm assuming you're new to Studio, so ask away. I strongly recommend that you look at my stickied thread in the 'tutorials' subforum, it explains exactly how to manually install content that you purchase here and elsewhere. Follow it exactly, and your next post won't be 'Help! GP isn't working!' ;)

Ok thats good to know, but what is the reason then, that GP lists V8 as the requirement but not base g8f?
I've no idea, maybe Meipe will be along to explain.

GP is extremely easy to install : it comes as a DIM file : use the install manager from Daz everything will go to the requested folder.
If I remember well, there are 2 batches of files the DIM one and another to install manually.
Meipe is very active and GP regularly updated, so that it fits perfectly to whatever G8 character you want to use (Vic8, G8 ....)
You absolutely don't need to have the genitalia from Daz
There's another "delicacy" from 3feetwoolf which is really nice, but unfortunately, 3fetwolf is not as active as Meipe : help is hard to get, updates are very irregular. That's' really sad.....

With respect to why, it's probably because the base figure and some other figures tend to have different UV and morphs. They're not wildly different, just subtly different in places.

Thx a lot to all of you, that was very helpful.
SInce my renpy game is developing nicely, i think its fair to start putting money into the Art.
Therefore, I´m going to get GoldenPalace and some pose backs pretty soon and start creating some nice sprites and cgs. :)

Sorry, probably I made a mistake somewhere, but where do you see V8 is required? Both in the readme and promo page only G8F is staded as required...
