Hello all.
Today I could use some advice on swapping out M4's head with an obj.
See I found a free alien head on *deleted*, however it is an obj. So I would like to attatch him to M4's body.
Any advice on how to texture the obj is welcome too. I just colored him in the material room, but it would look more
realistic if I can get my own textures on it.
Thanks!

If you have any experience with a paint program, you will get better textures by painting on the obj's texture template. If you dont have the template, a uvmapping program can create one. If you dont have experience with that, let me know the url to the obj and I can make one for you. Cheers, Davo

Wow. I am such a big fan of your work. I think I have virtually every dungeon setting you made. If you look at my renders you will see your items in virtually all of them.
In regards to my question, I don't have a program to create maps. The obj has no map for me to work with. Thanks for helping me out. Here is the link to the obj. If I can have some sort of map I can texture it on my own.
This is really nice of you.
Thanks,
Bowiefan

Alrighty,
I remapped the head as best I could, it was all over the place.

You need to use the new obj file in the zip file. The template is a .bmp file, you can open that in a paint program, do your texturing, save it as a jpg, then apply that jpg in the material editor in poser.
Cheers,
Davo

Thanks again Davo! I'll let you know how it works. Wish there was some way to repay you, but I don't make things and my zbrush license expired. I could do a free commission if you're interested.
Geez, I think I still have some of your old Lara comics from Beyond bent.

No worries mate! I'm happy to help when I can. When I see need "poser" help my ears perk up, we are a dying breed ;-p. I hope the remap helps a little, the UV's on the original obj is a little out of whack, at least you can do some eyeballs and get a skin texture going and do some work on the warts. Bear in mind there will be some banding of textures, but I'm a little limited in my mapping program. Usually these things are taken care of in the original modeling program the obj came from.
Beyond bent comics... god that was way back in the day! My style has come along since then.

Looks like it is already more or less made for M4, load M4 in a scene and then load a morph target using the .obj as the target and this should morph M4's head to the shape of the .obj
