Hi everyone,

I work as a TV journalist in Germany and I´m trying to understand the erotic 3D art scene. Why do like erotic 3D art? What exactly do you like about it? Is the scene mainly hetero or queer?

For a short report about (queer) subcultures and sex fantasies I´m looking for an artist who creates content here. Is there any artist from Germany (or nearby Europe) who I can talk to? I´m working for public service media and I don´t want to sensationalize this fetish.

I´m looking forward to your replies!

Thanks

The 3D scene is so much more than Hetero or Gay. The props that are available to 3D artist are so vast we can cover many topics and fantasies ranging from BDSM , Transgender, Female Domination of both male and female and vice versa.

You are in one of 3 major websites with stores catering to many subjects maters,  Our site Renderotica, just happens to allow a more liberal stream of content than say Renderosity who's store items and galleries are more tame than ours.

We have many German Artist here and I do hope they reply to your request and get back to you for a more in depth conversation with you.

Thanks for visiting our site

There is cave art of men fucking animals and ancient Greek urns with blow jobs depicted. Whenever a new media presents itself to the world, artists use it to make porn.

Nice! Them Romans knew what was up. If I could afford it, I'd buy up some of those and sprinkle 'em in the local church collection plate when it comes 'round.

Thank you Shadoman! Indeed I never meant to offend anyone. I want to talk about erotic 3D as an art form. So I´d be happy to hear from a German artist.

 An Serafe33:

The answer is almost philosophical.
Why do people like doing art at all?
I think, it is mainly to maybe also capture a moment. A moment, that explains more, than just can be seen at first sight.
I was sketching with my pencil erotic scenes since I was maybe 12. And when I started watching porn as a teenager, I actually did not go the way other teenagers usually go. I've looked for the best moment and froze it to take a closer look. Always looking for inspirations for that ONE super image.
3D is a huge step ahead. It is about staging your scene, having your digital 3d-actors at your hands, set the lights, tell a story with one shot, maybe tell a story behind a story and also maybe tell something about yourself.

Thank you for getting back to the original poster with an explanation of why we do what we do.

I read your English reply and it brought me back to the days when the Huge Sunday Paper would be delivered to my house and after reading some of the comics Like Brenda Starr, The Phantom, and a few more comics that were worth my reading, I would find the Fashion section of the paper and browse through the sections looking for fashion art. The style of the dress, where the hem ended upon the leg and of course some of the lingerie art detailing the delicate lace o a slip. or a stocking thigh..  for me this was my early entry into sketching with pencil on paper and the forming of stories in my head.  Of course there was always the weekly trip to the new stand for the Men's Action /Adventure pulp magazines where the cover always displayed some South American desperado doing something nasty to a female dressed in a slip and about to toss her into a river filled with flesh eating  Pirhana's

although I was pretty good with pen and charcoal, I could never really create something of my own till Poser  came around,  how I wish I were just a young man then instead of someone in my early fifties  what wonders I could have created.

Stay safe and well everyone

I discovered Poser in 2000, when I was 26. Now I'm 46 and have moved to Studio, but the motivation is the same: get the shit that lives in my head into an image. I sketched all though high school, and even earlier. My brother and I both did. At one time, I was very good with a pencil and paper. My brother took it even further, and he's now an accomplished artist in many mediums, including tattoo. He's even sold quite a few commissioned works, in watercolor, oils, and pastels, along with the many hundreds of tattoos he's done. He looked down on CGI, seeing it as a shortcut to actually drawing figures and landscapes, until I convinced him to look at it more like photography. You build your scene, get everything where you want it, and click the shutter, or in our case, the render button. To me, good photography and bad photography are as easy to spot as a good render or a bad render. It's all about the time and attention that you put into the scene.

In regards to attention to detail,  Oh how very true..

I started art by watching a weekly show on the public broadcast channel or PBS  using Pencil and charcoal I created some nice looking sceenic shots.  I had my folks purchase his art kit with different pencils, and sticks of charcoal and just began etching away.   Later I just did pencil work. I tried painting and that was a disaster .   Then I just began writing stories

Year 2000 sounds about right,  I got Poser 3 at a computer show and 6 months later Poser 4.  It's Render for Rotica was let me see 2003 acording to my library,  but I am missing a few as I am sure it was like 2002
