Seems I have two choices right now: either I put a wet sheen of oil or water on the entire model or every body looks like they are getting dry fucked. Is there a product that applies oil to just a specific area of the body? Is there a way for me to do it myself? I have glimmers of a few ideas of how to adjust the surface settings ...but it still doesn't look "natural."

Male or female genitals?
There are ways, but they aren't necessarily easy.
For male gens (I use only TAB for G3, it's the best, IMHO), you'll need to make what was called in Poser a specular map. You would then replace any existing map on "Glossy Layered Weight" and "Top Coat Weight" with your new map. I just use a simple map and adjust the surface settings accordingly.
If that is all Greek to you, then I can try to make some images to help.

No, I get it. Altering the specular map, though, limits you to the borders of that actual map. It's the sort of "All or nothing thing" that looks unnatural to me. I've been (rather aggressively!) introduced to the whole concept of "shells" by the awesome "Dicktator" and I was thinking that there might be a way to create decals for a shell that would give more irregular and natural outlines. This is beyond my present competence though. And yes, I need the guys lubed up. I love the ladies, just not that way. :)

Do you have Meipe's Texture Wizard for Dicktator? It comes with wet maps.

Thank you so much! I thought I was familiar with all of the Dicktator line...I was wrong and I am so glad. This will solve all of my remaining problems except one! I dread the learning curve with this thing but I am so glad to have it. Thank you so much for letting me know it exists. Now, if some one could just do some male ass fur presets......

....and I just found a product for the butt hair. Good Lord! Meipe thinks of everything. I guess I'll be spending the next two days trying to figure out where to load it and how to make it work. Happy quarantine and thank you so much!

Your'e welcome. Take a look in the 'Tutorials' forum here, I put together a how-to on manually installing Studio content for items that don't have a DIM installer, like most things here do not. It may seem complicated, but it's really just a 30 second process. I walk you through how to find the right folders to put everything into to make sure it works correctly. The mods were good enough to 'sticky' the topic, so it should be right at the top.

I've been doing this shit for 20 years. I try to help out where I can, since I was where you are at one point. I think the feeling would be called 'overwhelmed'. It's a lot to process, but once you get a feel for the programs, whether it's Poser or Studio, it's a lot of fun. Don't be afraid to ask questions, and pay attention to your install paths, that will save you a ton of headaches.

Actually the specular map isn't all or nothing. You're creating it, so you can make the wetness appear where you want.
Never cared for Dicktator, looked too cartoonish to me, and the veins are always the same, there doesn't seem to be any variation. With TAB there are several vein morph dials, so it's easy to mix and match.
Glad you got where you needed to go!

Well, it's early days for me but I seem to be catching on. I'm looking at the series I'm posting now..."Hitting the Hit Man" and cringing at it already! My new renders look so much better! Still...it's the journey that's the fun part. Thanks Man.

That's actually not true, at least as far as veins are concerned. With the texture wizard add-on, you have multiple options for veins. As far as looking cartoonish, in the default state, sure, I suppose, but with all of the morphs that it has, you can get very realistic results.

I haven't purchased any of the add-ons, since I haven't really used the product. I keep trying it once in a while, but am always disappointed in the results.
