About a your ago I wrote to the Admin about this idea; what if the Forum could be split: eager creators and bit more "pro", or selected artists/images. No reply what so ever. Maybe my idea is just plain stupid. The decision of each gallery submission would be with the Admin.

Why?

As a new person, you look for the quality of the site first. There are lots of PAID adverts, but actually the site itself doesn't rise the bar at all. When you hop to the gallery, what do you see? Yes, nice work.

What do you want to see? Just out of fun, try to find REALLY awesome work. Believe me, there is A LOT of it! They just drown with the content all people create, and there is NO way to find them! Admin, this is your ball to catch!

I agree and I asked for something similar a while back. Maybe if enough people request it.

I kind of agree with the idea, but good art is subjective.

Maybe there should simply be more of a limit on posting, say one or two a day instead of five art postings.

Not to shit on any new artists, but you really don't need to post five angles of a single scene.

Exactly. I don't want it to seem like I'm shitting on amateur artists, because I'm an amateur myself. The way I see it, most of the posts are a.) work in progress b.) look at this and tell me what you think c.) can someone help me fix this? or d.) low effort renders. There's nothing wrong with any of those, but it'd be nice to have a separate gallery for the finished renders.

Also, getting people to use the tags properly would be nice.

You can already sort the gallery.

You can sort by newest, most views, most likes, most comments and more.

I see no need to change the gallery. What would be the purpose?

Not sure what is meant by "raise the bar". Art is supposed to open to interpretation, a render you may not like others might very well enjoy it. If you don't like the thumb don't click the image.

The thing that makes this a great site is the vast array of what people create, and the differences in styles.

If you only want to see the best of the best, follow the artists you feel are the top of the list. Then you only need to click the profile and just like magic you only see their work. Not hard to filter down what you see here.

It may not have been the intention to bag on other artists, but it comes off like that in a big way.

One should also take into account that not all of us have super machines that can pump out the best work around. I try to keep my work easy on my machine and I don't feel like burning up my machine by having a render engine going all day and night for one image.

I'll add to this: If there is an artist that you do not want to see at all, you can hide them.

I know you guys who have been here for years, this is logical; you are used to it. For people like me, this is confusing. The main problem is that the gallery gets flooded with same scene - different version images and lots of other stuff just gets drown under it. I totally agree it's really super cool for everyone to post the work, but seriously, flooding? That's not cool at all.

matt, just out of fun, I tried your idea, but after 30 mins I gave up :D

I just don't see this to be the most efficient way to do it. Browsing the gallery like this is just impossible, unless you know the artist. If I'm new, looking for high quality work what do I do? Leave, it's not here, not easy to find, not under my nose. Honestly, my first impression; teenagers-found-poser-work. Please do not understand this wrong; it's just matter of the impression who we lure in, but the quality states it. This is why I thought the dual gallery idea.

WHY can't we have a "picked artists/work" visible when you join? I know you can set filters, but again, you really need to be deeply involved with the site to find what you want. My opinion is that the real talents just posts elsewhere and we want them to post images here. We need the WOW effect when you enter.

Example, this guy is just insanely good : Professorredbottom. I'm not commenting the content, just the work quality. Do we have a gay keyword? No. Finding him with likes? No. Finding him with views? No. C'mon...

Cyanide, I'm doing my stuff with an old laptop, not matter of the equipment. Read my thread for the pumped render settings;

It was just a little over a year ago that our Web host and site owner Andrew aka Ehjay, passed away.  I along with many other was devistated by the news.

Arrangements for the site to keep running had been set in place with what I can assume would be keeping the site running and the store viable.   This notice was posted and for everyone to read, However some of our newer members and lets face it,  most of them are not active in the forums and may not even know this fact, so I would suggest that until someone says otherwise and make an announcement we should try not to make too many request of those running the show. Nor should we expect an immediate response for request of changes.

I for one and I'm sure there are many others, who are grateful that this site remains running and those behind the scenes have done an excellent job of keeping the status quo.

We can help these folks by reporting problems and notifying staff if they see a image in the gallery that violates our TOS or any copyright infringement.  we can all chip in to help those in charge keep this site up and running

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate this holiday

Regards  Shadoman

For me, at least here, the gallery is an afterthought. I'm here mostly for the store, and the forums. I'll agree with you, there's a lot of images that get uploaded that....suck.  I've hidden a couple of artists, simply because their work has not improved or changed over the years, and I get tired of seeing it. I've also favorited a couple of artists, simply because their work is consistently good. For me, the gallery is not my main draw to this site, or even really a draw at all. If it went away entirely, I wouldn't lose sleep. I've posted a few images myself, but not many, mainly because I'm my own worst critic and I don't see a lot of what I put together as worthy of sharing. As I'm sure you know, others don't feel the same about their work, and their daily postings are prolific. And...that's fine. I'm not even sure how we could change the gallery to suit what you're suggesting. If it meant that a moderator looked at every uploaded image and deemed it worthy of sharing, that would be a full time job for someone. If it meant that we ourselves had to decide whether or not our work should go into the 'high end' gallery or the 'other' gallery, I can only assume that the 'high end' gallery would look very much like the gallery does now, since if we're uploading our work, we deem it worthy of being seen by others. Again, I'm my own worst critic, and a lot of what I do gets 'noped' into my recycle bin, but a quick look at the gallery says that others don't feel that way about their work, and really, that's fine.

So again, I recommend that if you see an artist that consistently pisses you off with their low effort renders, hide them. All you have to do is click their image, and in the top right corner there's a button that says 'hide artist'. If you see an artist that consistently makes work that you like, click their image, click their username at the bottom left, and then click the 'follow artist' button at the top right. You'll get an email every time they post something.

This is just my procedure. But I'm not here for the gallery. I'm here for the store, and the forums. I tend to lend help more than I need help, but I've been at this for a LONG time. If the gallery is your main draw, you're gonna have a bad time. :)

I can be one of the funders running this site, that's not a big deal. For Andrew, I'm really sorry, lots of you guys prolly chatted with him personally and knew really him well. This is what I read from some of your posts. I've lost so much of of people I love, and it's heartbreaking.

Maybe... just maybe time to look in to the future now?

So, thinking bit forward, what do you think this site should be? Do we want to hold on the moment Andrew passed away, time froze, Andrew wants is this way, like now, this is what it is, never change? Do we want to feel sorrow forever? Do we want to evolve? Where in the human history staying still has become a victory?

Mark this; I'm using the "we", as I hope to be part of you. I wish I could, accepted with my opinions.

This site needs a vision, and what I can tell, you all are still longing for him, and it's totally ok. I'm not your guy to give you the vision, I'm just an outsider giving you an opinion, this is all what this is. Consider this to be your wake up call. Never ever stay still, always go forward.

As today, we live in a world of Mind's-baddener, where anything is interpreted offensive, I must state this message is NOT it. If you feel offended, sorry. This is simply an opinion of a one man who would really like to be a member of this great community.

Who am I to say anything?

My history in super short: expertise with 3D animator since 1992, 3D studio, Alias, Wavefront, Maya, Inferno, Flame, Flint, AE, PS, AI, TV, Cinema, Features, series until I crashed to run as a CEO of a post production company for 15 years, developed DCP stereo 2.0 to 5.1 channel expansion code, super Resolution PAL/NTSC->FHD code + lots of other stuff. Hated it. Big money, yes. Wanted to create. Sold my shit, hopped to 3D VR porn 2015 with Micheal Ninn with empty pockets.

Big hearts icon here, freaking never able to do it... I'm just an artist, not the guy digging the icons + ofc loving what we create here...

I totally see where you are coming from. But I also see that Shadowman is saying without Andrew aka Ehjay that this site is lucky to still be here. I dunno if they are looking to add more people to the payroll as of now. Maybe volunteers?

That would be awesome eh. I try to fund them by purchasing stuff from time to time. Thing is they don't have a whole lotta erotic poser stuff for Project Evo or LaFemme. If they did I'd buy the shit outta it.

Well, if it's lack of funding we'll set up a p a t r e o n Page first. Top notch work there. Secondly, we'll find funders, I have some pennies in my pocket. I bet I'm not alone. We really need to kick this site way above the radar level.

Hah, some names gets changed, had to use spaces.

Velshtein, I've created MASSIVE amount of cloths, props and prolly 8 hrs of porn mocap which I'm happy to sell/share here. If sold, buy with few bucks. Like the game I'm creating now:

that's p o r n h u b  if link gets changed. I've created all clothings & animations

That is the whole reason they started Premier - not to make tons of money, but to make money to keep the site up. In fact it was one of the original Premier artists that was a friend of mine who convinced me to try my hand at CG art in the first place way back in the caveman days, but that's another story.

Come to think of it, there only seem to be a few Premier artists that post on any regular basis. Maybe another "Rederotica Idol" contest is called for like they did 11 years ago or so?

I totally encourage you to submit your stuff to Rotica for possible sale then. I dig those boots in your galley. If only they were for ProjEvo......

How about Poser11 or PoserPro11? But I imagine you need the Project Evo figure to develop the boots to that figure. You want to sell those boot here? I'd get 'em if the price was right. And maybe if they came with some long gloves like the ones in my Kekkou pix, eh.

I need to check out Poser11, I think I have poser 8 somewhere....hm that lic doesn't do anything these days... used it for one tv commercial like 2000-2010 something. One chick rubbing soap to her body or something.

The boots;

One guy told me he would do it, place them here for free, I didn't have the time. Took about 2 hrs to make those. Daz requires all wonky runtime here/textures there folders, never got that far, I only have 2 hands and mind elsewhere, creating, not selling.

For this site I would need someone to port all my stuff to proper format.

Honestly, I was kind of pissed a year ago with this site, so the first thing coming back here few days back was to delete all my images. Gave another thought and maybe having patience this time. The boots are prolly still at the free forum...
