Good day Thunder-3D
I have enjoyed using a lot of your products for my 3D projects and I was wondering about the latest batch of Facial Expressions that you have released (3-5). I'm still a user of the G3F/M models and wonder if these facial expression are going to make their way over. I know it's time involved but your expressions are the best and would like to add them to my collection to further my projects. If you would let me know it would be greatly appreciated.
I haven't moved over to 8 yet do to the time, effort and money involved moving up to 8. Funny coming from a person asking that time be invested in this project. Just know that there are quite a few of us 3D artist out there that still use the G3 models and would be disappointed in the discontinuation of products for it.

Hi g_money!
The expressions might not be too hard to get working on G3, so I'll have a look at it this weekend and if it looks like a reasonable production time, I may be able to knock at least one of the 3 sets out in December, and the other 2 soon after.
I totally understand the love of G3 and not wanting to move up to G8, I resisted it myself for a long time and still prefer a few things they did on G3 that changed on G8, however the auto-convert scripts that move your G3 figure morphs to G8 really sealed G3's fate for me, I honestly haven't loaded up a G3 character in over 6 months.
Will reply here this weekend with a more solid answer after I have some time to run tests :)

So I did some testing and the results were mixed.
The short answer is, G8 has a lot of new facial bones, hidden morph dials, etc that allow for the new expressions on the 3 new packs. G3 simply doens't have them, and while I can fake it on those, the result looks pretty bad.
What makes the 3 new sets for G8 special, like improved mouth/lip smoothness, improved brow elasticity, improved lip and eyelid morphing, wouldn't show up on G3. Many of the more extreme expressions just look krinkled and result in the teeth and eyeballs poking through the facial mesh.
I'll see if I can get a pack of G3 expressions based on some of the new G8 ones out before Christmas, but I can't guarantee it, I have 3 projects in production currently (and family coming to town, save me o_O )

Thanks for the attempt. I really appreciate the time to look into it. Such is the life of older models. But I appreciate the attempt again. Enjoy the family!!! :P and the holidays I’ll continue to support your products as they are really great.

The changes to the facial expressions were what made me move to G8 from G3. They are a lot more realistic. And Thunder-3D, thanks for making those, particularly the way you made them (where the top and bottom can be mixed). Well done, and needed since pretty much all expression sets exclude grimaces and those that have them look pretty loony. Most of what is out there. is perfect for posed photo shoot glamor pictures but not passion ;) Anyway, I think I have all the ones you made. As well as pretty much all your other G8 stuff. They make clothes for V4? Why??

While we are on the subject of wish list, a few more male expression sets would be nice ;) They make clothes for V4? Why??
