Still, I push on and select just the G3F, run the the script of NGV7 but a message pops up saying that V6 is not supported and to select a supported UV map. Happens with every G2F mat I have. I ran the update script, it says its updated and I try again but still get the same message. I'm wondering if there is something I'm missing but I couldn't begin to know what. Sorry if that's not much to go off of. If you have questions I will answer them to the best of my ability. I can likely provided pics if necessary.

Hi, uh, could you tell me how do you use the Legacy UVs before? I am asking because I am not sure whether my steps are correct.

And I guess that you didn't install the G2F update correctly but still I need more informations to confirm.
So it would be great help if you post some pictures to describe the problem in detail.

Okay, so here is my process. Up to Step 05 is my normal process. From Step 06 is where I begin attempting to add NGV7.

Step 02
Step 03
Step 04
Step 05
Step 06
Step 07
Step 08
Step 09

Hope this helps you out. If you have more questions I will do my best to answer. Appreciate your help!

Just a quick comment. I don't have the G3F to G2F converter yet but just by looking at your screenshots you're using the V6 skin which uses V6 UV maps which are different from G2F so it won't be supported yeti. Instead of one of the base "6" skins (V6, Stephanie 6, Gia 6 etc), use one that was made by a PA because most of those use the G2F UV map. Just to make sure though when you load your material, go to your surfaces tab, highlight "Hip" and scroll through until you find the UV map used because some of the older ones may even use regular Genesis UV map. If you really want to use V6 there is sort of a work around that might work. Highlight the hip section in the surfaces tab then switch just that uv map to Genesis 2 Female or Base Female (can't remember off hand which one it is), then load the gens. It should work but look around the hip area as it may leave white or black creases.

Actually one other note, which product do you have? Legacy UVs for Genesis 3: Victoria 6 from Daz or Legacy UVs for Genesis 3: G2F from Rendo? If you don't have the one from Rendo then it won't work because this script is for the G2F UV and not the V6 UV at the moment. Well it might still work with the routes I mentioned earlier in this comment.

Tattooed, thank you, that was my issue. I had no idea there was just a G2F converter on Rendo. Once I installed that 3feet's update worked famously. Appreciate the heads up!

No problem at all. Yeah Cayman has that one over at rendo and all the rest at daz including the V6 one. I've been holding of on getting any of them because there were no "bits" at all that would work. Now that 3fw has the G2F update I may have to reconsider lol. I've already downloaded the update a few days ago just in case I cave in and get the converter. That's how I figured out that V6 wasn't supported at the moment.

Yea, I forget to check Rendo all the time. I need to be better about it. Only thing I need now is some sort of fix to line the G3 nipple morphs up with the G2 UVs. It's just off enough to be weird.

Hello, I think NGV7 can be fitted to your custom body shape, as long as its UV is supported.
Besides, I guess your custom body shape is based on G3F? If so, please try not to change the shape of its lower abdomen including the genitals when you make the custom body shape. So that when NGV7 is applied to this custom body shape, it will not has bad deformation.
I hope this can help you, if you have any other problems please let me know.

To tattooedillusions, thank you for your help :)

To IconXG, I didn't realize that you were using another version of the Legacy UVs, I remember that you said you bought the Legacy UVs G2 to G3, lol

hi Thank you for you quick answer. To bad though, my custom body shape is a full custom body shape. so abdomen, hips, and thighs are custom shaped as well. The fitting problems are worse when posing. So does anybody know, how to copy morphs from my character to NGV7?

Hi,

Have you ever tried to pose your custom character without applying the new gens? For example, you can select her left thigh, set 'Bend' to -115 and then set 'Side - Side' to 85. At this time, if the hip and thighs of the character have bad deformation, then you will need to make the corresponding correction morphs for this full body morph.

In each update package of NGV7 contains such correction morphs. Take Aiko 7 update as an example, there are 10 correction morphs in '\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis3\Female\Morphs\3feetwolf\NGV7\'. They are used to correct the stretch of hip and thighs when posing, in the case of full body morph of Aiko 7 is activated.
JCMAiko7CorrectiveLTB.dsf
JCMAiko7CorrectiveLTBS.dsf
JCMAiko7CorrectiveLTS.dsf
JCMAiko7CorrectiveRTB.dsf
JCMAiko7CorrectiveRTBS.dsf
JCMAiko7CorrectiveRTS.dsf
MCMAiko7CorrectiveLTS.dsf
MCMAiko7CorrectiveRTS.dsf
MCMAiko7GensC.dsf
PBMAiko7GensC.dsf

Meanwhile, there are 7 correction morphs in '\data\3feetwolf\New Genitalia For Victoria 7\Morphs\'. They are used to correct the stretch of NGV7 when posing, in the case of full body morph of Aiko 7 is activated.
PBMAiko7GensCorrectiveLTB.dsf
PBMAiko7GensCorrectiveLTBS.dsf
PBMAiko7GensCorrectiveLTS.dsf
PBMAiko7GensCorrectiveRTB.dsf
PBMAiko7GensCorrectiveRTBS.dsf
PBMAiko7GensCorrectiveRTS.dsf
PBMAiko7GensCorrectiveTPose.dsf

So as you can see, this process is quite complex and you will need to make a lot of correction morphs. If you don't mind, you can post a picture to show me the comparison of hip between your custom body and G3F or send it to my mailbox. I will try to make some suggestions.

Just bought and downloaded the product and after adding a blank G3F and then doubleclicking the gens i get "You need to install the update package for this UV(Base Female)". If i change to V7 UV i get the same. Tried creating a new content folder with only the gen and v7 in and still same thing.
Daz 4.9
Win10
Looked through this thread but could not find anyone else with the same problem.

Im using a few old content folder with g3/v7 but have updated them by copying data inside manually, maybe it's something with regards to that?

Hello :)

It seems that you didn't install the new gens correctly.

The installation package of NGV7 contains four folders, "data", "People", "Runtime" and "Documentation".
And if you check your DAZ Library folder(For example, C:\Users\your name\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library), you can see that the "data", "People" and "Runtime" are already existing.
To install the NGV7, you need to unzip the installation package to a temporarily folder, and then copy the ''data", "People" and "Runtime" from the temporarily folder and paste them into your DAZ Library folder. When the "Confirm Folder Replace" dialog popup, just choose to merge them with the existing folders.

Please let me know if this can solve your problem.

Just to make sure, i removed all the old folders (noticed my folders had lowercase characters and the ones in the zip file had uppercase characters), other than that, everything seemed to be at the correct place. Copied folder by folder at the lowest level to make sure they matched the structure of the zip file. Still get the same problem.
Also tried creating new Content folder with only G3 essentials and the gens in, tried re-installing DS studio in case it was some error there.
The only thing i can think of is that my content folder is called DazCustomContent and not Content or My Content, might be breaking some path somewhere?
Added some screenshots of the paths

Hi, have you add the 'DazContentCustom' as an extra DAZ Library folder in the Content Directory Manager?

Yes, it's where i have all my Daz Content (but i have several daz libraries). I see the assets in daz and can click it. Gonna do a few more tests later, turning off anti-virus etc later(might be that something blocks the script or some such).

If i can't get it to work i think i will try installing Daz in a blank Virtual Machine and see if it works there.

Hi, I don't think you have to do so much complicated work...

How about this:
Unzip the installation package of NGV7 to a new folder, and don't do anything else.
There should be four subfolders(data, People, Runtime and Documentation) in the new folder.
Then, add this new folder in the Content Directory Manager.
At last, go to the Content Library pane and browse to the new folder you just added and run the script of NGV7.
I believe it can run properly at this time.
