Hi, I'm having an issue with the HD penis for G9. After I load the genitals, I can't load or use ANY of the materials. I constantly get an error when I click on presests. 'Failed to open JSON file'. I looked through my data folder, there's no json file anywhere. Is there supposed to be one?

I see that 3feet has this covered already, but still felt like replying because I was one of the product testers when this originally got out and I can rest assure you that the product as is worked. Of course that isn't helping you.

While you may not see any JSON files directly the file format itself is actually often used with Daz Studio presets. And another thing about these preset files: they're often compressed, which means that you can't really see their contents. Which is also where the error originates from: for some reason Daz Studio wasn't able to parse the file, which triggered the error message.

Having just noticed this thread I figured I'd re-try some of the steps on my end and... I can't reproduce any problems with the product. If there's anything I can do to assist further then don't hesitate to ask.

thanks 1 user thanked ZenMaster3D for this useful post.

Hi, thanks for the clarification.

Based on the discussion with juyan16, the problem is likely caused by the JSON folder being lost for some reason during the HDPG 9 installation. Therefore, my initial suggestion was to manually recreate that folder. This issue is indeed somewhat strange and rare.

I actually had the same issue a while back. I completely uninstalled it and reinstalled it and was able to reproduce it. I did a complete uninstall and reinstall carefully each module until I figured out which one was causing the problems. I seem to think it was the hand job module that was causing issues but it’s been a while since I fixed it. I thought it was just my problem until I saw this post. When you guys tested it did you test it with all the modules? Perhaps install order has something to do with this? Like the user I had a similar problem so I don’t think it’s necessarily a fluke more of an edge case that not many people run into apparently.

Hi, sorry for the inconvenience. I quickly reviewed the hand job module, and it doesn't need to reading JSON files, so I'm guessing that's not the cause. If you encounter the same problem as the OP again, please check if a JSON folder exists under '\data\3feetwolf\HD Penis for Genesis 9'. If not, create it manually. See if this method fixes the issue.
