I was wondering if anyone was using D*z Bridge to Blender to render D*z 3d scenes? Does it work well for you?
The reason I ask is my computer is on its last legs- its very old. When I bought it originally, I purchased it built to order and did my best to future proof it, which is why it lasted this long, despite me having to upgrade the ram, power supply and GPU myself later on.
My current specs are currently:CPU - Intel Core I7 6700K, 16 GB Ram, Gigabyte Z170-HD3P-CF Mother board, Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070TI with 4GB Ram, 500 Meg Sata SSD (Main HD) and 1GB External HD.
Currently, I render between 20 minutes and a hour and a half depending how complex the scenes are (And they dont have to be very complex which is why I like to reuse places that render decently in my art). And I realize if I go AMD for my next GPU that I cant use D*z's Nvidia renderer, so I will need to use Blender instead. I have to put it off for a little bit since Im currently out of work.
However, I was really wondering if anyone had experience in rendering in Blender, or using that particular bridge? I prefer to use D*Z over its competition as I like its workflow. I want to be able to continue doing the kind of art I like to do.
The build im looking for currently (And I know the GPU prices are funky right now) would be as follows: CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 7700X, MSI B850-P motherboard, 32 gig DDR5 ram, 2tb NVME SSD, AMD Radeon RX 9060XT 16 GB
This would be a HUGE jump for me in terms of computing power overall, considering my current build. As far as games go, I play Diablo 4 and other similar games so my current computer power still can handle games like that even though I am finally at the point where it IS shaky from time to time.
So I know EVERYTHING should be better overall with this new setup, but the render process would be non-existent in D*z studio itself without Blender's involvement.
Thanks in advance! I hope I can get some advice! I can't wait to get the new computer and make it easier to render or at least way less time consuming. Also, if anyone has experience playing Diablo 4 or games like it WITH a setup similar, GPU similar, let me know that too if you don't mind.
