I doubt I get it. As others have said, I don't buy enough from them on a regular basis to make the cost worth it, and the additional bonuses aren't worth it for me. What will be interesting is what happens with their annual sales (Premiere days, etc). Will those that got it, get access to exclusive content not available to others? Who knows.

If you are looking for modelling tools Wings3d is free and open source. And goes beyond just the basic meshing.
Thanks. I don't know this program. I looked, it seems interesting, I downloaded it and I will definitely try it. I'm trying to use Blender (I took my first steps many years ago with Ligthwave 3d and Zbrush taken from the Twilight collections).
However, I'm talking about the limit imposed by Daz regarding the export and import of high definition models forcing users to buy additional morph packages that do not always meet their needs (I find it frustrating).
Photoshop seems to me to cost around €20 per month and its offer is complete and includes Lightroom.
I don't want to appear categorical, I play a lot with Daz and their models are fantastic (I've been following them since their beginning with a lot of curiosity and "gratitude", as with renderotica), but the constraint they have imposed makes Daz almost a toy. I would like to give more softness to the models but it is not always possible (by the way, thanks to Meipe and not only because they made it possible to do more)
Conclusion... I should have exploited my curiosity about 3d more at a young age. Now I could use other software better... eheheh

I have Daz+ until June 2025. I was offered a month of Premier in exchange.
You can't have both, or I would consider paying for a month to try it. But as it stands, no way. I mostly do males, and Genesis 9 is set up for adult women with breasts, so I'm not really in a rush to give them more of my money.

I've seen several people talk about this. My DAZ+ subscription expires in January 2025, and I was also offered a month of Premier to switch over. I don't think DAZ offered anyone more than a month of Premier to switch, and some of these folks had a year or more left on their accounts. I was trying to figure out the math -- X months of DAZ+ == Y months of Premier, and so on -- but there doesn't seem to be any.

What we were told by the mods in the forum is that is was based off how much you spent to buy the Daz+ you have. Some people who paid full price were offered a couple of months of Premier, but if you got your Daz+ on a sale or special offer, you got a lesser offer.

I got sucked into paying for DAZ+ 6 months or so agp. My crack habit, er, I mean my Render habit had me spending enough that the relativly low cost was worth it. The freebies alone paid for it. Then, like the good pushers they are, they upped the price without upping the price by creating a new tier called Premiere and shifting most of the better features of Plus to it, then doubling the prices. Shrinkflation in action.
I'm not paying for Premiere. I'm keeping Plus for now to see if the discounts pay for themselves by year's end, and if they don't, I'm canning that.
How do I feel about it? Irritated as hell actually.

Daz can be some Dazzholes at times, usually when they try new cash grabs, the Dazzhole just gapes open in hopes of sucking everyone into it. Of course not ragging Daz, I get it is a business and all and you want max profits, it has just been gimmick after gimmick And I mean hell I can run some gimmicks but well yeah shrinkflation is a good term for it. But they oversize the packaging... I swear you would think they bought a 3d penis pump from here to overinflate their hype.

It's not a surprise that DAZ tries some new form of money grab, after jumping onto the NFT bandwagon and their recent-ish entry into AI slop generation.
I'm just sad that they increased the daz + pricing while decreasing what it offered and removed the annual sub. :/
At least, thankfully, I'm not interested in either Gen9 or Filatoon so probs not missing out much and won't be sad I can't even see their daz premiere exclusives. Once my sub runs out if there'll be sales with fun stuff i might resub for a month.

I told them "no fucking way" (or words to that effect). Tonight I logged onto the DAZ store page to see what today's new products were, and SURPRISE -- DAZ is launching DAZ Premier (along with DAZ Base and DAZ Plus), a monthly subscription service (didn't see an annual plan) that gives enhanced discounts and bonuses, one of which is an expanded version of DAZ Studio with additional tools instead of the free version everyone has access to.
I'm curious to see what everyone thinks of this.

Not interested. The only thing that would excite me into coughing up more money to them would be if they finally made it possible to change the UI size with bigger fonts so I don't have to squint at atomic nuclei that are supposed to be letters on my 4K monitor....
